Default Enzo Maccerinelli to fight in UFC!

This was on one of the telextext sport pages today, The UFC president said that Enzo camp had contacted him, and Enzo said he thought he could be Bisping. The UFC president said he was not keen on the idea as Maccerinelli had no martial arts background.

why do Boxers and UFC guys always spout this kind of shit....

A pro boxer who has trained all his life to be a BOXER gets himself hurt bad in combat sports like UFC because it involves a whole variety of well skilled fighting styles

A UFC fighter who has trained all his life to be a UFC FIGHTER gets himself badly hurt trying to be a boxer as its all about beating your man to the punch and is the strongest form of contact available to man (that doesnt involve weapons obviously)

Id actually love to see 2 well known fighters from both codes switch and get badly hurt doing so just to end all this crap about changing other all the time!!

I honestly think one day, UFC will get the athletes in it that they can hang with any grappler, kickboxer, and even boxer in each sport respectively, but it won't be for awhile, until UFC really gets a strong amateur program where kids can hone their skills from a young age, If a kid was 6 years old and started learning Mauy Thai, boxing, and grappling like Mayweather and RJJ learned boxing, they would and will be unbelievable, I think the day for that is coming in the next generation.

They do have some of that. Wrestling programs start at a young age and they do it all the way through college and up into olympics and pro. I think the athletes are there, it's just segregated to being a wrestling background and that is why wrestling has been the dominate style in MMA.

Its purely wrestling, it isn't quite as dominant anymore... guys from Brazil with a combination of Karate or Mauy Thai and BJJ are taking over.

Wrestling guys like Matt Hughes, have been too one dimensional lately. Kids will be taught in BJJ, boxing, Mauy Thai as more schools open, and better athletes seem to be gravitating towards MMA opposed to boxing. I am not talking about wrestling athletes, they are hardly the cream of the crop, but guys from Football.

So are you predicting that MMA has the glitz to lure kids from football, that boxing hasn't had and has been complaining about?

Always the big argument about the american heavyweights is that they are playing linebacker.... You think MMA can steal them?
