If Mosley tries to fight Margarito how he fought Mayorga, flat-footed and throwing bombs, IMO he might get stopped this late in his career.

Mosley has a great chin but so as Marg. The thing is Mosley has the speed but Marg has power. It's gonna comedown to who's gonna impose his will throughout the fight and I think Margarito has the edge in this one. He knows hes gonna get hit a lot just like against Cotto but I'll bet he will keep coming just to hurt his opponent until the final bell.
An empty can is always noisy.
I really doubt it... This will probably be a much more competitive fight with Mosley landing a lot. I feel Mosley should win the early rounds , and it will be interesting to see how well he can hold up down the stretch. If Shane can box a little bit early and bank a few rounds, save his energy and stand toe to toe with Marg in the later rounds he could easily win this fight. Mosley has never had a problem trading inside, Margo hasn't really got the style to keep him at bay it's just a question of whether Shane can hold up 12 rounds. I have little doubt Mosley will get the better of the exchanges as long as he isn't gassed.
It wouldn't surprise me if he did.
His last performance against Mayorga was awful besides the KO. I actually had Mayorga ahead before the stoppage. Mosley was very inactive and allowed Mayorga to control the tempo, Mosley was lucky that Mayorga's chin isn't that good anymore.
When you add the fact that Margarito has a chin of granite and throws alot i mean alot of punches i think things are going to end bad for Mosley.
Mosley is tough but i think he might get stopped.
Margarito by clear decision or late stoppage.
Marg inside Nine rounds, Mosley to shop worn now, I expect Shane to fight well the 1st few rounds then Marg to come on stronger and stronger ala the cotto fight but with Shane being that bit older and not as hungry he wont last as long as Cotto did. Uncle Bob will be a happy man again.
I have only seen Shane really hurt in one fight and Margrito does not have the tools that the guy that put the hurting on Shane did. People put alot on Margrito because of the stopage of Cotto and Cintron but Shane is not as weak when it comes to taking a punch and i really dont think Margrito is the biggest power punching guy there is really i think if Shane goes the 12 rounds he can outpoint Margrito he is there to out point and open to be hit so i dont think it is that far off so say Shane can win the fight. But that being said Shane 37 now and you never know how he while show up just look at Oscar and looked his age and he is even younger.
I think Shane Mosley gets quite a pasting here, against a very limited Ricardo Mayorga. He allowed him to land punches on him a bit too easily IMO, and to outwork him badly in some rounds.
I had Shane Mosley winning going into the 12th round, but Shane Mosley just hasn't got the workrate anymore. He was hardly throwing any punches in the Ricardo Mayorga fight at times, and he seemed to be almost sleep walking in some rounds, just looking at Ricardo Mayorga, instead of throwing punches.
And i only see flashes of the old Shane Mosley in 2 and half rounds against Ricardo Mayorga. He will need a whole lot more than that, and i mean alot against Antonio Margarito. Say what you want about Antonio Margarito's boxing skills. But he has a nice variety of punches.
He never stops coming and he seems to have a Marvin Hagler like chin, and he won't allow Shane Mosley to pick his shots. And throw 40 punches a round like Ricardo Mayorga did.
And to be honest i know i have said this before, but i have never considered Shane Mosley a pure boxer. He was always more of a Boxer/Puncher and IMO more of a warrior than a boxer. He's like the modern day version of Meldrick Taylor IMO.
Even in Shane Mosley's prime he used to overwhelm his opponents with speed and power. Not with pure boxing skills like Pernell Whitaker/Floyd Mayweather could do easily.
I always thought Shane Mosley was overrated as a boxer, i think because he was so fast people automatically thought that but he actually isn't IMO.
But anyway back on topic just a few more comments, i think Shane Mosley will win some rounds using his speed. And accurate punching, but overall i can't see any different result than Antonio Margarito by UD or late TKO.
Shane Mosley doesn't move around the ring well enough, he doesn't have the power he used to have at Lightweight. And he doesn't have the workrate anymore to be beat Antonio Margarito.

It's hard for me to every pick against Shane Mosley. If Margarito wins, he will be the first man to beat Shane who doesn't have an exceptional jab. Forrest, Winky, and Cotto all beat Shane by controlling him with a jab.
Some people think he didn't look good against Mayorga, but I thought he fought well. He had a strategy, he used it, and it paid off. I also thought Mayorga fought a very good fight and that's why he was able to make it competitive. It wasn't because Shane didn't perform well.
You never know. At 37 a fighter can get old instantly, and you never know when that is until the bell rings.
