this is sad, joe is suppose to be one of the ambassador of the sport. He comes out with this comment just make him look foolish. If the sport is dying then how come it wont even notice when he retires? His country may love him but the rest of the world are like "joe who?". Ricky Hatton is more popular world wide then Joe.

Now that Oscar is gone, boxing is dead big money wise.
People should have let Oscar win every time. Just imagine if everyone that faced Oscar threw the fightThis would let Oscar fight until he was way past his 60's
Let Oscar fight at any division including heavy weight and let him win
Big money for all weight classes

Yes Calzaghe was aiming to make £8m from the Jones fight where he made more like £3.5-£4m he just has to face it he just isnt a draw apart from in the uk. And i will be chuffed when he has gone but i would like him to be defeated first![]()
....well if Joe had the balls to make that fight about 8-10 years ago then maybe he would have had more money.
I now dislike ALL Calzaghe's

Do not get on his back. It is true to some extent and the PPV is killing the game. We are all saying it.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Calzaghe is the problem - he is certainly not the remedy.
He tried to mug us all with his 'Super Powers' fight with Roy than BOMBED.
I rooted for him against Lacy, yet now i despise him and his anti-worthy opponent propaganda.
His sour grapes attack on Froch today left me cold. No well dones (like when Froch congratulated and backed Joe against Kessler.. )

I just can't get over the fact he seems a lot more vocal now.
