    Killface,
I always find it interesting to see Jrs facing each other with their fathers at the corner .

Chavez Jr. beating ODLH would not only be a career builder, regardles of ODLH being passed his prime, but also some sort of redemption for Chavez Sr. And if ODLH beat Chavez Jr., oh man, wouldn't that be painful for not only his father but also lots of Mexican fans hahaha! ODLH beating father and son, just doesn't sound right hahaha!

Aside from going out on a win, what does ODH have to gain from this fight? His legacy is secure (despite what some people might think) - he is, or should be, well respected for always wanting to fight the best. He's a multi-division champ, etc., etc. Losing to Chavez Jr. would only tarnish the end of his great career.

Aside from his name, Chavez Jr. brings nothing to the table.

    ODH should retire.

He has more money to gain. It would still do good numbers and could easily be promoted as Chavez jr trying to avenge his fathers loss. I think it is a dumb fight for legacy, but makes sense financially.

Obviously he would earn some money, but I'm sure ODH has plenty of money. Regardless of his part-time boxing career, he's making a fortune with his promotional company.

    No
All of Oscar's strengths were missing in action against Pac,his feet were flatter then pancakes, his jab was non-existent.
Getting tore up by Junior, a guy who has yet to prove he really has "it" would only tarnish his reputation.
And from what I saw against PAC,thats what would happen.
Oscar should go in to training, and keep counting the money

I dont think the weight matters,His reflexes looked numd.Seeing spots but uncertain and he looks like he is thinking about things instead of coming natural anymore.Needs to get out, unlike alot that might Need (?) to hang on ,The man as an entire profitable present & future in buisness.Time to go already. The only thing that I can see him fighting again for is Ego/pride....does not want to go out like that.

I am hoping Oscar retires but if its gonna be against Jr..so be it. Bring it on. If its at 154..I say Oscar can still whoop a 'son of a legend'. this time JCC Sr. and his fanbase can't whine and bash Oscar about not being a real mexican. If they call themselves the 'real mexicans' I hope Jr. gets his ass kick bigtime. This fight I think would be a vindication for Oscar. He'll prove it not to the Chavez's fan base but to the whole world by beating the baby of a legend that cries like a baby.

i think oscar beats jr. jr will be there to be hit but he will have a good payday as consolation.

it's always nice to go out on a winning note.

I think he should make sure he is shot, and fight JCC Jr. He should let himself get turned into burger meat at the hands of Jr. The reason being he has been accused of taking advantage of an aging legend when he beat Sr. He should do to Jr. what Sr. did for Oscar, and that is be his catapult to stardom. He had a chance against Manny to prove all his naysayers wrong, and prove he was a warrior, but instead he quit on his stool without going to the canvass in the fight. He can win over all the Mexican boxing fans who don't like him for what he did to JCC, and because they don't think he is a Mexican warrior. I think he could change some of their minds with a big loss to JCC where he actually fights through a little blood.

    Ky7le,
The story could help a bit to sell the fight. I mean, ODLH beating an old Chavez Sr. and then have a young Chavez Jr. face an old ODLH, eh? Heheheh!

    CHF,
That's right. I don't see how fighting Chavez Jr would do him any good.

    Kingfrnk,
He did look shot, worned out, drained, past his prime, etc. Not sure how he would look against Chavez Jr. Chavez Sr. has mentioned in past interviews that he would like to have ODLH face Chavez Jr.

    Kkisser,
Always good to leave with a victory and maybe ODLH was expecting that vs Pac. Went pretty bad.

i dont think anybody really wanna see oscar in with anyone anymore, not after what pac did to him.

jcc jr will get ko'ed by someone unknown sooner or later, oscar doing it to him wont help mexico at all.

I know. People had their doubts with Oscar since the Forbes fight or even before as it was clear that he was past his prime. I am all for ODLH but I just wouldn't want to see him in the ring again after seeing how rusty he looked in his last fight, even against Forbes.

Sure, I can see JCC Jr. loosing anytime. I wish the people around him put him in the amateurs first, have some olympic exposure, etc. And Oscar beating him just won't earn him any fans with Mexico. Imagine, ODLH beating both father and son, ouch!
