Put it this way,I think we will be seeing Vic vs. Montiel sometime next year ,And I think Donaire is a helluva fighter.

I guess you believe arce is going to beat vic therfor donaire and arce will be facing eachother after these fights.

Montiel had some trouble with Z, and Z aint as good as Nonito. I think Nonito beats all three, well he already beat vic. vic didnt win a single round and didn't even reach the 6th. I think Montiel will do better then vic though. This should be a good match up but I was really hoping to see Nonito vs Mijares more. I think Montiel is a level below Mijares, I still can't believe how poorly Mijares performed against Vic. Hopefully Mijares gets a few good wins then gets a shot at a title again.

I like Montiel he's a tough son of a gun. But why the hell is it happening in the Phillipines? this one could very well go to a decision and last thing we want to affect a great match is a hometown decision. I like Donaire too but I'm not impressed on his last fight. I think he's more of a counterpuncher and looks good against a slugger. So IMHO if Montiel decides to box I think hes gonna get exposed. Montiel via decision.

Montiel fought in the Philippines before against Filipino boxer Z Gorres in a very close fight and surprise surprise... Montiel was not victimized by a hometown decision... Many even thought that it was Montiel who got a gift decision...

From What Ive seen ,Limited,Z is pretty slick Southpaw.Montiel had to play ketchup.Good match ups all around and I like both Nonitio and Montiel to do a number on Vic.Vic has rebounded well and had his own difficulties with Gorres but the power payed off.Montiel will play the low, body hook style and Donaire down the middle,I think Fernando slows him after tastin g some sharp shots but a very tough match up no doubt.

Mijares ?? He needs to do some searchin,he was dominated and fought a dumb, dumb fight

well it wasn't a hometown decision the last time montiel was in the philippines against gorres. imo z actually got the short end of it.

don't know how nonito will respond to a new trainer after parting ways with his dad. i hope he stays focus. montiel will be in one helluva fight and might even get stopped late.

Interesting fight... Montiel is too good for Nonito IMO! But I hope Nonito works harder to maximize that counterpunching...

    Nonito,close UD!

Yeah my bad on the stereotyping. but I feel Darchinyan got robbed against Z Gorres and it happened in the Phils. and I've seen both the title fights of Gorres and I can say the referee has always done a poor job whenever the hometown fighter is hurt and is hanging on to survive. IMO Gorres should have been disqualified or at the very least must have been deducted by a point against Montiel and Darchinyan.

Fight would of been a TKO for Montiel if Gorres didn't transform into Ricky Hatton and started hugging Montiel just to keep from being knocked the fukk out. I was shocked that one blind ass judge gave Gorres the fight. By 4 rounds! And that's with the knock down and point deductions going against Gorres. Unbelievable. I had it 115-111 for Montiel.

gorres was winning the fight comfortably and he got cocky. that's when montiel caught him. in my scorecard i have z winning a close fight but i don't have any qualms about the result as montiel might have done enough in the late rounds to rally.
