Hill Street Blues was a foreruner of things to come. An original of the genre. Shows like Law and Order and CSI followed along in its footsteps.
Agreed entirly.An A list of characters,roles,sub plots.Belcker......J.D washington,Capt. Furillo (?) and the swag DA brunette??A classic presentation.And hey......'lets be careful out there'
We could go on and on. Let's be careful out there! Yeah I liked that guy, forget the character's name but he was a desk sargeant. I recall the episode where he died of a heart attack while boning his girlfriend, then at the end they dump his ashes in the street, and the street cleaner comes by a minute later and sweeps them all up.

The Brunette was a public defender I'm pretty sure. Trivia Time: What was the nickname the brunette had for Captain Furillo her boyfriend?
