Why is Floyd Mayweather so hated ?

For me Mayweather doesnt have a personality. When he is being normal, he is bland.
When he is trying to act hard or be the bad guy he doesnt convince. He just comes across as an immature and irritating twat.

If you are going to ham up as the bad guy you have to be scary as fuck or have some wit with your insults. Floyd simply can do neither.

Floyd is a short and skinny guy, i think only kids take him seriously when he tries to act hard and tough. Even 50 cents groupie think his just the lil homie that follows 50 around and annoys people along the way.

His achievments cannot be denied,easily ATG and HOF.I was extremly disapointed he did not fight cotto but if he did I'm sure there would be another guy he was ducking.If he did fight cotto he would easily have me singing his praises as the best p4p fighter ever,but he didn't.So I don't.

But to go through his record and pick it apart piece by peace.You can do that to any fighters resume and make it negative or positive.

As far as boxing history goes.People remember the names you beat.Not really how you beat them. So wether you love him or hate....Are you ever going to forget him and his top quality resume (But he did lose to DLH)

I normally don't root for trash talkers and Mayweather is one of them but I don't let that blind me from seeing that he's a talented boxer that has it all. Can't really say he has a flaw.

I dont hate mayweather but I cant say he was one of my favorite fighters because of his boring style. He was too safety first in alot of fights and refused to let his hands go. He also didnt have alot of power. If you are going to pick weak opposition as least knock them out....

He showed in the Hatton fight the ability to throw combos and knock people out and if more if his fights were like that I would be his number one fan...

Sometimes it's strange what it takes for a person to like or dislike fighters. Floyd may be arrogant... he may have ducked Margarito and a few others at 147 (a division where he doesn't belong)... and he may love playing the "bad boy", but I honestly cannot harbor any dislike for the guy. On the other hand, I've ALWAYS disliked the likes of Zab Judah, James Toney, and Naseem Hamed, to name a few.

I don't really see how you can really truthfully hate on him for this.. he does what he needs to do to win a fight.. and it's legal.. it's not like he's headbutting or cheating.. he's just using his strengths and talents in a way that benefits him.. if he knows he can win the fight by being elusive defensively, then would you honestly say that you wouldn't do that in his position? he takes minimal punishment, and gets his job done.. as far as i'm concerned that seems like a pretty good approach to boxing! What you're failing to understand is that defensively he's a genius, and if other boxers could move like he could, then they would.. unfortunately they can't and they have to stand in the pocket and throw.. but the fact that he's using his strengths to win a fight is something i can't hate on him for.

also he did have some real decent power before he moved up so much in weight.. 64% KO percentage is not too shabby..

floyd has fought good opposition.. mauybe not the HARDEST fights he could ever possibly find, but he still has talented opposition.. What you just explained is the reason why i hate Calzaghe.

Because he is unbelievably good. A great boxer. But not a great fighter to me. He hasn't fought a livewire opponent at WW. Ricky was a lightwelter. that being said, IMO he doesn't really talks the talk and walks the walk. His big mouth annoys most fans. Especially his father's mouth.Fukk Sr.
