Having been around for the last great drug era,the 80's,I can field this one.
Heroin
Using coke is like taking 12 No-dozes,and then taking a clove and rubbing it around your mouth and nose.
Heroin is like what happens at the end of a session with your woman.

Note to impressionable youth,I blew a promising baseball career,and a shot at gold gloves doing this type of thing,so I wouldnt recommend it to anyone either way. Not to mention all the weird situations Id end up getting in hanging out with the type of people who did either or. Those stories can make for some funny stories 20+ years later,but at the time,they could have gone really bad for me.
Just say no,not for any moral reason,but because
A) You waste some of the time your allowed to be on earth, and you'll regret that
B) You have to hang out with other drug users,and those people can be screwed up. And when you hang out with screwed up people,you start to think screwed up is normal.
Just aint healthy all around

Even just smoking gunja steals your time away from you.
One miniute your having a few bongs next miniute its ten years down the track and you look back and there is nothing, theres just a vacume with some laughs in it and no money to show.

When I think of all the things Ive gotten to do when I was straight,and compare it to the time I spent zonked,sitting on a bed blitzed. I know what Im more proud to tell my kid about.. Ive led a pretty remarkable life, and most of it wouldnt have happened if I had kept using. And I know for a fact what I lost by using.
Before I started using,I spent my days pitching alone at a wall,shadow boxing and jogging,practicing my jump shot(which still sucks,but Ive got a hell of a sky hook)and practicing my football drills.
For the time I used,it involved being slumped and putting up with crappy music that my "friends" liked. By friends that translates to "people who could hook me up"
I can routinely, even old as I am,outhink whoever Im training,if Im feeling up for sparring.
Now think what I could have done,if I hadnt blown my Gold Glove years?
