at my salon it's only $25, and for first timers we usually just ask for $20.. This is actually a cheap price around here, as there are other salons on the same road that are around $30-40+.. I'm not sure if they use the spray gun or if they have a spray booth though..

For a regular 100 watt booth tan, it's about $5-6.. for a 200 watt booth tan it's $11-12.. I always use the 200 watt cause my skin type is sort of olive as i'm Italian, and i notice a difference right away without burning.. but the 100 watts are a waste of time if you ask me..

with that said, for $25, especially if you're doing it for a special occasion (wedding, date, etc..) i find it well worth it.. You're going to be as dark as you would be if you had been tanning every other day for two weeks, looking like you just got back from vacation, and it doesn't effect your skin negatively.. only drawback is that you can't shower for a while, i usually wait at least 12 hours.. and it eventually fades, so really you're only real dark for about 4-5 days, but still tan afterwards..

so all in all, it is cheaper than tanning in the booths, but it's still expensive if you're going to do it often (but still cheaper than the booths).. I'd reccomend it if you find a place with a good price, and if you have some sort of occasion coming up.. Just make sure that they don't use the stuff that turns you orange, that's the cheap stuff.. make them spray a paper towel or something, the closer to dark brown/black it looks the better.. it will look real dark on a white paper towel but when it hits your skin it will even out and mix with your skin color..
