He's already rising.
He's doing interviews on Spanish TV and everything.

As much as I want to think Angulo will do some damage I can't help it but think how I felt seeing him fight in person vs. Tsurkan.
He just looked slow and tired, he was looping a lot of his punches.
Something just wasn't right. It could have been one of those nights for him. I'm hope I'm wrong cause anything from Mexicali I'm all for...![]()
a very likeable fellow that victor ortiz is. very amiable, and he's got skills too.

Victor Ortiz is a very skilled prizefighter. Very confident. A good trait to have in the world where one competes, but it could also backfire in more ways than one.
I guess his confidence developed from the trials and the difficult experiences that loomed large in his' and his younger bro's early life. This confidence is unshakeable and long lasting, but still... a dash of humility to temper this, should not be pushed aside. I like the kid, as long as he stays focused on "attainable" goals, he'll be fine. The future is bright for him.
Angulo the two times I've seen him fight hasn't looked good at all. IMO he looks like he going to not be successful at the top level.

He had a better 07 IMO that seems to have carried over....the guys he's been beating are average at best. Gamboa and Angulo had better years and are far fewer fights, 20 some fights isn't prospect IMO.
