Ok in Andrews defense he was training,and is again,he had a bad string of luck that could happen to anyone,a loss in the family,and a really nasty form of the flu that went through here. No he didnt train as hard as he could have,or should have before Dumas,I started helping him,really late in that game,at that point,all I could do was give him ring advise. I had no time to ensure that it was implemented in the ring. And there was a couple of things he didnt tell me that directly hurt his performance,I would have come up with a different game plan if I'd known,we now have a tacit agreement that he tells me everything,good bad or otherwise. Having seen the recent tape on him,he looks technically better then he ever has,and in tighter shape.We'll see what happens.
They just arent in the same position I am,I might mention a fight one of my fighters have coming,just because Im proud of them,but usually thats about it,unless Im the promoter,it isnt my job to promote the fight,thats why ppromoters are called promoters. I more or less read the contracts,and tell them to sign or not. These kids have to sell themselves hard,just to break even.
It gets a bit ridiculous I'll grant,but its the only way they can get anyone to look at them.
