It was heart, he took everything Corrales and Barrios had to throw at him, he just quit everytime he was truly tested. The Barrios fight was his high point and the Juan Diaz fight was his low point...it's a shame he had so much talent and never reached his potential.

Also Wladimir Klitschko's chin isn't THAT bad....Clifford Ettienne's chin was faaaaar more fucked up than Wlad's and RJJ's chin wasn't an issue until he got blindsided by Tarver. I think you can see Wlad took some pretty solid shots off of Sam Peter (the legal ones at least), Lamon Brewster (in the first fight), and Corie Sanders...he took one shot (a left cross) right on the button and got back up....his legs and psyche didn't keep him up long but he got right back up.

Wlad's chin isn't great but not quite glass either. Everyone who has floored or KO'd him are big punchers and he is in the hardest punching division at the end of the day. Roy Jones was never really troubled until he lost all the weight to make Lightheavy again and I truly believe that is what weakened him.

My vote goes for Amir Khan. He's been floored off basically journeymen and viciously KO'd by an unknown.

And what fight is that, with Ali hitting the canvas?

You know if you examine your boxing knowledge carefully, it will tell you that the truth favors the opposite of your statement.

Let's go from the latest KD of Ali to the earliest -
    1. Chuck Wepner,
    2. Joe Frazier 1,
    3. Henry Cooper 1,
    4. Sonny Banks.

Did I miss anything? I am guessing you watched the Wepner fight... right?

If anything, Ali was saved by his granite chin from defeat, one too many times to his detriment. Instead of getting KO'ed and receive a lesser beating, he ends up winning or otherwise, but be desperately absorbing a tremendous battering.

It can account partially if not totally to the Parkinson's disease that Muhammad Ali is afflicted with nowadays. So in retrospect... granite chins are a blessing and a curse to a boxer. It is a matter of “delicate” balance. The slightest tip to any side can cause a lifetime of glory, or a lifetime of horror!
