Muhammad Ali knocking out Foreman.
Muhammad Ali knocking out Foreman.
The beauty of this KO was that, Muhammad Ali unleashed just the exact amount of firepower to dispose of his opponent.
He had a right cross fully cocked, as he surveyed the prey; "Big George”, half spun now from the barrage he duly administered, assessing if there was further need for a continued onslaught. As what transpired unfolded, the need was to lay the right cross down, to allow for a hulking George Foreman, mimic the elegant bird in his swan song!
It was as if time slowed down…and allowed for all of this to take shape as innumerable flashbulbs record the time capsule for all of us boxing fans to enjoy. Brutality in boxing there is; beauty with Ali as the “concerto maestro”, there is too!
Maybe not the greatest, but certainly brutal. I was amazed Morrison ever got back in the ring!

I'd have to mention the MM Hagler KO of Tommy Hearns, as one of the best I've ever seen.
He knocked Hearns cold even before the guy hits the ground. I guess it must've been one of those neck-snapping varieties that move the brain a cent thick, triggering an immediate unconscious state.
Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini vs Duk Kho Kim.
There's one that's brutal! The Korean fighter even died. I'm sure he did not intend to cement it with death, for its acclaim tho'. It destroyed Ray Mancini forever, unable to go all out in any of his succeeding fights, with that stigma hanging on his head.
