cc#650 from me Ouma you know I love well thought out posts and what you did here is amazing....
Damn! look at all those potential match ups....
RMarquez vs. Tokuyama
Navarro vs. Sidorenko
I pretty much agree with the champs you listed.

No doubt it would hurt some guys.Originally Posted by boozeboxer
But you'd get some real interesting skill versus size type fights. For example, could Calderon go 12 rounds without Vic landing something real clean?
CC
CC. There would be some interesting matchups.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK

Yeah, I said he might not last long just cause he's getting old.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
But, with Castillo and Corrales not being able to make the weight anymore, that was one of the weaker divisions.
An older post but been thinking more and more about that, it probably would help the sport with the casual fan.Originally Posted by killersheep
Only thing is, if there were only 8 weight divisions and only one title a lot of guys might get screwed out of getting a title shot.
Still the champ would be more recognizable to the casual fan.
All right, I feel like doing an update, I did this post when I was on Christmas Vacation and had an ass of time and now I'm updating it on Christmas Vacation when I have an ass of time.
I don't know why this interests me, it just does
Sure I'll leave some out
Okay
Flyweight (112 pounds)
Ivan Calderon-Koki Kameda-Roman Gonzalez-Oleydong Sithsamerchai-Raul Garcia-Donny Nietes-Edgar Sosa-Ulises Solis-Ivan Calderon-Hugo Cazares-Cesar Canchila-Nonito Donaire-Daisuke Naito-Pongsalek-Omar Narvaez-Takefumi Sakata-Geovanni Segura
Champion-Nonito Donaire-Although Donaire is moving up to 115 I think he might have stayed at 112 if the move up had to go to 118. So with that said with his skills he would be too big for Calderon IMO.
Bantamweight (118 pounds)-loaded, really loaded
Vic Darchinyan-Alexander Munoz-Fernando Montiel-Christian Mijares-Nobuo Nashiro-Z Gorres-Jose Navarro-Jorge Arce-Roberto Vazquez-Raul Martinez-Dimitri Kirilov-Gerry Penalosa-Hozumi Hasegawa-Anselmo Moreno-Joseph Agbeko-Wladimir Sidorenko-Eric Morel-Abner Mares-Silence Mabuza-Lorenzo Parra
Champion-Hozumi Hasegawa-maybe going out on a limb a bit but I'm a believer, I think its down to Montiel, Penalosa and Hasegawa and I think Haswegawa would come out on top. Mares an interesting prospect there.
Featherweight (126 pounds)
Israel Vazquez-Rafael Marquez-Celestino Caballero-Juan Manuel Lopez-Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym-Jhonny Gonzalez-Bernabe Concepcion-Ponce de Leon-Ricardo Cordoba-Steve Molitor-Chris John-Stephen Luevano-Mario Santiago-Yuriorkis Gamboa-Jorge Linares-Robert Guerrero-Cristobal Cruz-Jorge Solis-Hiroyuki Enoki-Rocky Juarez
Champion-Israel Vazquez. Tough call IMO. I could see all these guys beating Izzy-Rafa, Caballero, JuanMa, Chris John, Linares, maybe even Gamboa or Guerrero. I kept Guerrero and Linares here because 135 is a much bigger jump than 130. That's questionable but so is a lot of this. This one was tough though I thought.
Lightweight (135 pounds)-woah
Edwin Valero-Humberto Soto-Urbano Antillion-Jorge Barrios-Nicky Cook-Cassius Balloyi-Roman Martinez-Kevin Mitchell-Monty Meza-Clay-Manny Pacquaio-Juan Manuel Marquez-Nate Campbell-Juan Diaz-Julio Diaz-Joel Casamayor ()-David Diaz-Paulie Malignaggi-Antonio Pitalau-Michael Katsidis-Anthony Peterson--Ali Funeka-Yuri Romanov-Amir Khan-Breidis Prescott-Timothy Ray Bradley-Edner Cherry-
This is a bit iffy. Some smallish looking 140 pounders lik Malignaggi and Bradley I put here, that's questionable though. But it doesn't make a difference in who is champion
Champion-Manny Pacquaio. Probably gotta be him or JMM doesn't it?
Welterweight (147 pounds)
Ricky Hatton-Junior Witter-Andreas Kotelnik-Herman Ngoudjo-Kendall Holt-Ricardo Torres-Juan Urango-Marcos Maidano-Demetrius Hopkins-Lamont Peterson-Mike Alvarado-Antonio Margarito-Miguel Cotto-Shane Mosley-Joshua Clottey-Carlos Quintana-Zab Judah-Luis Collazo-Andre Berto-Isaac Hlatshwayo-Sebastian Lujan-Kermit Cintron-Paul Williams-Cory Spinks
Champion-Paul Williams. Say what you will, he could make this and I think he matches up well with Margarito who was my original choice. Cotto is right here, so is SSM, and I put Spinks here and he could be a dark horse. Then there's obviously Money
Middleweight (160 pounds)
Vernon Forrest-Sergio Martinez-Sergio Mora-James Kirkland-Alfredo Angulo-Ricardo Mayorga-Verno Phillips-Sergei Dzindriuk-Daniel Santos-Joachim Alcine-Jermain Taylor-Kelly Pavlik-Arthur Abraham-Felix Sturm-Sebastian Sylvester-Khoren Gevor-Randy Griffin-Amin Asikainen-Marco Antonio Rubio-Anthony Mundine-John Duddy-David Lopez
Maybe some of those 154's could make ti to 147, who knows. Mundine has talked a lot about 160 and I think he'd try it before 175. Taylor could make it and since there's no 168 he might stay there.
Champion-Kelly Pavlik. Till a 160 pounder beats him I'll keep him there.
Light Heavyweight (175 pounds)-very very loaded, suprisingly might be the best
Joe Calzaghe-Bernard Hopkins-Mikkel Kessler-Librado Andrade-Lucian Bute-Carl Froch-Sakio Bika-Allan Green-Dennis Inkin-Jean Pascal-Edison Miranda-Andre Dirrell-Andre Ward-Alejandro Berrio-Jeff Lacy-Chad Dawson-Glen Johnson-Antonio Tarver-Zsolt Erdei-Roy Jones Jr.-Adrian Diaconu-Hugo Garay-Chris Henry-Tavaris Cloud-Clinton Woods-Shaun George
Surprisingly good.
Champion-Calzaghe I guess. Still undefeated. Hopkins, and Johnson right there with Dawson right there and unlike all those guys, getting better. Kessler too obviously. Some young prospects too.
Heavyweight-
All the heavies, plus cruisers that couldn't make 175 like Guillermo Jones, Adamek, Cunningham, etc.
Champion-Vitali or Wlad I guess, maybe Vitali. As bad as that sucks for humanity.
Oh yeah Pacquaio at 135 cause he can make it and don't see him staying at 147 permanently, maybe 140 but that doesn't matter here.
That was our old rep system....
If you liked someone's post, you could give them a CC - Cool Click, or if you didn't like it - a SC - Sad Click... There was a CC and SC button next to the post (if I remember corret) and you'd click on which one.. A click counted for 1 point. It was anonymous so the person would be credited with the CC point and would not be notified of it.. It would just go onto their total which was displayed similar to how the reps are... It did not alert you when someone had CC'd or SC'd you like it does with the reps, so if you wanted a person to know you appreciated their post, you would have to actually post that you gave them a CC... Of coures being anonymous aswell, there were Sad Click snipers that would just go around SC'ing people for no reason.. I remember I got to about 150 CC's before I got my first SC.. Then they started pouring on..
Anyway, a nice trip down memory lane... CC's are well missed..
It's also why there is a "Cool Click" smilie if you look through them all..
