It's gay as fuck, and it's not just my opinon, it's well known in acedemic circles that Batman is a homosexual fantasy, hell Robins real name was Dick after all.

Batman's alter ego Bruce Wayne, is a single, middle aged playboy millionare who lives in a Bat Cave with an old man and whose best friend is some stockings' clad kid from the circus. He's weirder than Michael Jackson surely I'm not the only one who can see this?
Damn, I was prepared to say that if there really was a guy in a batsuit who jumped off tall buildings and brought in a few rapists, murderers, and the odd terrorist, then the public would probably call him a superhero, and would not give a damn about the rest of it.

Aside from that, I don't think Batman was a homo when he was first created, although yeah I suppose anybody who walked into a biker bar wearing a rubber suit and cape might get the bum's rush no pun intended, so point taken there. The Batman in Dark Knight, sure looked like he held a torch for the prosecutor's girlfriend. At one time he obviously boned her.

But that's not necessarily the way it is. Just because some gay fetishists wear rubber suits, doesn't make everyone who wears rubber suits a gay fetishist. But yeah ok, there is an element of truth buried somewhere in your post.

I'm not suggesting that the Batman as portrayed in the Dark Knight is gay, the director has gone out of his way to try and make the film dark and edgy and remove all the campiness.

But what I'm saying is that it's impossible to reinvent a character like this. The Batman character for the last several decades has been notoriously camp and gay. Trying to create a serious, dark, gritty film around him is like trying to create a film about Michael Jackson and his sex conquests amongts the hottest celebrity women. Sure they could take away his child molestation accusations, his Neverland ranch, his fair ground and extensive plastic surgery and just focus the film on his marriage to Elvis Pressley's daughter but we'd all know it was just a crock of shit.

Batman is a bigger bender than an Indian Yogi.
I've no doubt that over the years people have put there own spin on Batman, including a gay spin, but I'm willing to bet that things like gay and camp don't occur to the majority of people out there when they think of Batman, until they have really researched the topic, or heard about it from you.

hehe I'm just informing the masses that the film execs are all having a laugh at your expense. They do it all the time with stuff. Tom and Jerry, He Man, both completely gay cartoons riddled with gay references.

The Magic Roundabout, all about drugs, lsd, trips etc.

These writers all have a great sense of humour and want to see how far they can go in creating the most outrageously camp or disturbing stuff and then disguise it so common people and morons will watch it and think it's cool, completely missing the point that the writers are deliberately creating this stuff just to laugh at you.

It's like when I invented the Baggins Clan. Everyone on here instead of recognising it for the ridiculous joke that it was actually started to create their own clans, much to mine and Legion's amusement, with whom I had bet I could make Violent D create his own online tough gang complete with avatar.

I dunno man, were Bilbo and Frodo fags too? I'm sure JRR had all kinds of hidden meanings besides the Hitler = Sauron one. And let's not forget Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street.

OK, well if the cartoon writers are going to a lot of trouble to write stuff that the average joe doesn't pick up on, and the executivies are paying them to do so, and that they are probably going to deny anyway if anyone calls them on a specific case, then who's the fool?

You know I could do all kinds of creative stuff, put my own hidden meanings into it, and make things so obscure that no-one would ever pick up on it unless I explained it to them, and even then they would probably think I was full of shit, but that don't make me clever.

Yep the hobbits are pretty camp, child size and running around in short trousers befriended by a much older, taller, bearded single man with an obscure and somewhat hazy background. A possible hidden reference to boyscouts, camping and child abuse in there, I don't know.....maybe.

All I can say is that Gandalf never touched me and we only ever shared a bed on a few occasions when he felt that I needed to be protected from the Dark Lord.

Possibly you could argue the Dark Lord represented the long arm of the law and the reason they were so interested in my ring was because they were worried about what Gandalf might have done to it but this is mere speculation on your part. It is curious that when I got older Gandalf was only interested in the much younger Frodo having the ring and when the Dark Lord's interest was stirred he decided that they must destroy the evidence by throwing it into the fire.................

The whole point of the joke though is that it isn't obscure, it's hidden in plain sight.

Have you ever watched an episode of He-Man? This is a guy when not He-Man is a Prince called Adam who wears pink spandex and wears his hair in a bob. When he turns into He-Man his clothes fall off and he's left wearing some kind of bondage harness. His best friends are Fisto and Ram Man it's uncontrollaby gay.

And you can't tell me that his harness isn't emblazoned with some kind of sphincter logo.

ok man, obscure in plain sight it is then. Very often the stuff people miss is right under their nose.

No I never watched heman, but the example you gave is pretty obvious though. I guess they are counting on six year olds (or is that common people and morons) not picking up on the gay fisting thing.

So who is it exactly that they are trying to entertain with this stuff then? Themselves? Unlesss you are telling me that you are fan of heman for this kind of profundity?

Yep it's themselves. My guess is that these are all ambitious screen writers who dreamed of writing hollywood films and ended up making kids cartoons. It's just their way of coping.

Like the engineers who dreamed of designing planes and working for Ferrari and ended up working for Russell Hobbs making toasters. So they come up with settings that will not only burn your toast but your entire house down if you stick it on max
