How Did Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito Win FOTY ?

Another factor of the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight was that they are both so explosive. Margarito does the same thing over and over again at a slow pace, it is effective, but it doesn't look good. Cotto looks good, but he still doesn't have that exciting explosion when he moves in.

Both Pacquiao and Marquez are explosive and exciting, they didn't bow down to eachother's arsenals. They are both better than either Margarito and Cotto, IMO they both fought as hard as Margarito, and not like Cotto who gave up. Both of them put it all on the line.

Its like watching Gatti-Ward or Barrera-Morales. I would pick the second one every time. More skill, same drive and determination.

Well Barrera-Morales was probably a more exciting fight regardless of skill level imo.

But no way Pac-Marquez was the FOTY imo I didn't find it to be a particulary great fight but to me it just wasn't enough action. And Margarito-Cotto had way more then just one momentum change.

I don't know amat. I thought the fight went Cotto's way in the beginning rounds, then you slowly started to see Margarito wear Cotto down, then Margarito took him out. I haven't seen the fight since the night it happened, but that's what I remember watching..
