Like it said in the artical I posted, they only get tested just before the fight, if they were to get randomly tested half way through training im sure loads would be caught and Evan Fields would suddenly feel its the right time to retire![]()

Shocking that Ross jumped all over this one
I always thought it was strange how Evander Holyfield bulked up, so quickly between Riddick Bowe 1/Riddick Bowe 2. In the rematch he put on alot of muscle mass.
I put yes, though I would have prefered an answer that said, "it kinda looks that way, based on the evidence".
Getting back to Toney. Was there ever a pattern of usage determined? I seemed to recall he used it short term to recover from injury, rather than long term for bulk. Can anybody shed light on that?
Personally, when you talk about using steroids to recover from injury, I'm not so sure it's a bad thing. Though it is against the rules. What do others think about that?
I don't quite understand what Toney was doing. Flat out, if you get caught for it on a drug test for a championship fight you are the worst steroid user ever. I heard somewhere that the Ruiz fight came quicker than he thought and he took it anyway, I don't know?
Ice-it was 12 pounds in a year. That's not impossible but like I said I wouldn't be surprised if he was using,
Roy Jones put on almost twenty pounds in about 5 months before Ruiz and he still didn't look like he had an ounce of fat. Just saying.
I thought it was more than that Ouma but either way he looked like, he bulked up way more than 12 pounds he looked like a greek god in there 2nd fight. But i could be wrong im not accusing him just bringing up a point. As for RJJ he was one of my favorites but i believe he did take, steroids to bulk up to Heavyweight.
Roy Jones for the first time in his career also was using weight training to bulk up. I think Roy weighed in at 194lbs which is 19lbs above the lightheavyweight limit. So he was probably fighting somewhere near to his natural weight and added the weight training excercise to fill out which wouldn't take long at all. Just look at David Haye.
