Anyone remember this fight? I still got it saved on my DVR.
What a war!
Sosa had about the longest legs and arms I've ever seen on a super middle to light heavyweight.

"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Nah haven't seen it wouldn't mind seeing it though. Im also on the look out for Merqui Sosa vs Charles Williams 1 and 2, Thomas Tate vs Julian Jackson.
Sosa was a freak,Gangly, awkward as anyone and a head of stone.Had some pop.Outstanding war with Tate.ICE find that Tate/Jackson Battle. That was nuts watching Tate take Jacksons bombs and stay in the fight,He really rocked Jackson badly and let him off the hook the next round. But he was all heart in there.
Bro i've been looking for it for bloody ages had no luck so far, someone on youtube has uploaded a bunch of Julian Jackson fights. I've seen alot of his early ones, i was hoping he would have the Thomas Tate fight but no luck so far.
Also i heard that Merqui Sosa/Charles Williams both quit in there fight or something ? i would love to see that but its so rare i'll doubt i'll get to see it. Im still hoping though.
No,No...they did not quit. The officials ruled it a tech draw (double ko),saying that both had taken too much punishment. In hindsight I'd say Sosa may have recieved the short end of the stick. He really thought he was the TKO winner and was rocking Williams at the end.The scores after 7 had Sosa up 69-63 and 68-64 x 2.He was screwed. Both fought their sets off,Sosa got him ugly in the rematch![]()
Yes, I saw that fight between Sosa v Prince, forgot they fought again. Can you believe they stopped the fight because they were battering one another and just would not quit. However, it was a vicious war.

God as my witness I didn't know there were DVRs in 99.
Shit all we had were VCRs back then.
Sosa vs. Tate was a damn! good fight. Caballeros "body" reminds me a lot of Sosa tall, lanky akward style.
Sosa was always in fights but just couldn't get it together and could not hang in all the way. His finest hour possibly came when he outclassed Glen Johson late 90s.
Tate vs. Jackson woweee!!! Brutal shots with lots of mustard on them. Which has always led me to believe that RJJ was able to TKO him cause JJ had already soften him up. Tate was a top contender for a couple of years and I remember him talking shit about G-Man saying the G-Man didn't want none with him...
Just shows you how great Roy Jones was when he wiped him out in a couple of rounds.

Sosa's fights with Williams are classics in brutality.
