First of all, how would you know they're "immigrants"? Because of the color of their skin? That's not exactly a fool proof technique. As for my community, ignoring the fact that almost everyone who lives in my country was essentially an immigrant, it is very multi-cultural. We have massive numbers of immigrants who have come here from Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, South America etc. Many of them speak their own languages, they have jobs, and *gasp* they're even allowed to vote if they're citizens. If it wasn't for immigrants, our population would be shrinking in size.

And you know what? No one, aside from blithering idiots who are both paranoid and stupid enough to blame others for their own problems, minds a bit. As a matter of fact, it's a point of pride for many Canadians that our country is as multi-cultural as it is.
