Congratulations Mick on a huge post count that is actually full of substance, fact, opinion, humour and dignity.

I post on just about every forum worth posting on (and some that aren't ) and you are definately one of the top P4P posters out there. (along with a few other class acts on Saddos).

A Legend that has transcended the forums.

I made a little post on the first page, but I feel it did not do Mick justice. He's arguably (or maybe not so arguably) the finest poster on this site. Rarely does he lose his cool or act unfairly in debates, and he's as knowledgeable as anyone on this board. He has basically filled the void left by Wacko, in his own unique way and minus the DBRB's, and now plays the same role Wacko once did; I don't mean that to be disrespectful to either guy, and I hope it doesn't sound that way - Wacko was the reason I stopped lurking and joined in the discussions here.

The only drawback about Mick (if you want to consider it a drawback) is that he's as gay as a Republican Senator in an airport washroom, but I rather enjoy the bi-anal , I mean biannual Saddonian slumber parties he holds at his private ranch. Though I do walk like a cowboy for a solid week afterwards...

Mick has a passion for the sport which can't be denied...that goes along with his knowledge. He has helped me learn along with many others of you this sport from the history and professional side of things the who, the what, where's and hows and so on...and it has been greatly appreciated.

His passion? He went missing for a week or so after the Cotto/Margo fight, and I truly was worried that he either a. threw his PC out the window and kicked in his TV. or b. might be in need or some sorta suicide watch.

I didn't leave necessairly because off the fight.
I was out because some really bad stuff went down at my work place that Friday morning along with some personal stuff & family.
As for the fight I guess what I didn't want to read or be a part of was the I told you so.... from people.
I've been a Margarito fan longer then I've been a Cotto fan and believe me myself along with El Gamo and a few others used to spend hours defending him. When the fight came up I picked a side and I sided with Cotto.
It was a brilliant fight and a fight that pinned 2 of the best Welters of their generation. I was just glad that I lived to see the fight and be part of it like the rest of you who followed and lived the fight in the weeks leading up to the fight.

A good and fair MOD and a backbone of Saddos. Good luck with your predictions this year Mick. Your rough year 2008 of getting them wrong on big fights proves how unpredictable and interesting, and how anything can and will happen in this sport.

Yeah, the Prediction League has it out for me.
But actually my 2008 predictions were pretty good according to the thread from 2007 where I made some pretty good predictions on there.

Good stuff JR, as of late we've been chatting more and getting more into the same threads thanks for the laughs and the words.

The thing I like the most about Mick is how he is always impartial when it comes to discussing a fight. Sometimes, it's really hard to do...

Shit yeah it is, but I just try to stand on nuetral grounds for the matchup and try to come up with the most resonable turnout...
Unless were talking about Alexis Arguello then he beats anyone at Feather, Super Feather, Lightweight & gives anyone at 140 a run for their money...

Plus that thread where we were talking about that girl's butt on the let's get it on forum. Mick made that thread go from memorable, to EPIC!

I hear what your saying about Wacks... He had a way about him too, very unique and enjoyable, its hard to believe how long its been that Wacks hasnt been fulltime, with all the new people on here they just cant appreciate who he was and what he brought to really help put this place on the map...

Dudes been gone for sometime now man and droped in the other night.
Wacks did his deed and he put us on the map BIG time.

Some of my best memories of this place was the evening hours with, Mick, Wacks, Rhun, VD, Miles, Sheep, POB, Danny, Lyle, yoitsdan, Bilbo, Daxx, ICB, Saddo(was alot more active) Big Ragu, Sal The Butcher, Starr, PS Angel eyes, Majesty(before he went off the deep end) Tito BHB, yes even The Best PFP (before all the drama) and somemore I cant remember.. But man this place was absolutely the best to be hands down..

I remember the buzz that surrounded this place nightly was similiar to the occasional big fight buzz we have now if you could believe it... Absolutely remarkable... Trust me when I tell you newer guys that have been here less than a year and a half, the big fight buzz that surrounded this place back in the day is something you havent experienced and hasnt existed unfortunately...

It sure was man, some good fucken times.
Don't get us wrong people we enjoy a lot of you guys and build up to fights and as time passes I'm sure new groups like the one mentioned at top will come to frutition. Like how we had our SoloBoxeo crew and more recent the ESPN:FNF crew who gets together to watch fights.
Remember the night of ODLH-PBF we thought for sure the server would crash we even made a thread to see who could predict the total count of people who would make it into the site.
I remember I posted a picture of like a war ditch with a bomb exploding in the back and I typed "Saddos when the people count reaches ......."

I can't add anymore of value to all the accolades accurately and deservedly bestowed upon you. Now, if honesty has bottomed out, and I'm left with the last line...

It can def. be crazy here but believe it or not with the exception of 2 or 3 people this place has been good for a bit now.

Thanks for the words CFH, disrespect? To be mentioned along the lines with Wacko or for that matter someone like BritKid or tuctan whom I personally admired and wanted to chat with as often as I could so I can know just as much as them about the sport.

Did you catch Inkin-Balzsay? Really good stuff from Balzsay I like his accuracy. Good skills, needs work on combinations and work rate but the kids young still and can def. improve IMO.
