I always laugh at the people that said Tyson had no heart and never got up off the canvas to win a fight... people dont realize that anytime he went down it was because he took a sustained beating and absorbed an inordinate amount of punishment that would have crumbled a lot of fighters much earlier in the fight..

He caught a beatdown by Douglas and still kept coming forward and digging buster until he got waffled and still got up at 10

Crushed by Holyfield

Lewis put a lot of leather on him until he wore him down and caught him
I think this is an important point.
Tyson was a warrior who knew when he was spent and beaten.

I saw two fights where he knew he was beaten.
Holyfield (the bite) and Lewis.
Against Holyfield he was tired, being outboxed and wanted a way out, rather than quit on the stool he tried to do something drastic and in my opinion he somehow thought he could turn the fight around.
Against Lewis he was destroyed, he had nothing left but stayed in the fight because he wanted to go out on his shield rather than quit on his stool.

To beat Tyson you had not only to outbox him, but beat him up, I see no shame in a man getting knocked out.
