He has the talent to be competitive with Bute, Froch, and Kessler but I think he lacks the mental toughness to beat them.

I think Kessler beats him up.Bute dances and snuggles him to death and Froch...does whatever it is Froch does to him.I still wonder if he has ever got over that 12th round bomb that Miranda landed on him.He strikes me as unsure.

We need to see more of him first. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt over the Miranda fight as not only did he move down in weight but he also had major health problems leading up to that fight and afterwards needed to have most of his colon removed.
If his health problems were indeed as significant as he claims then he may bounce back and be sensational.
He's been inactive a long now though, hasn't fought in months. I heard he was fighting Andrew Ward?

Andre Ward? If that's who you mean then Green is about to be devoured. And I think Allan is a major talent. But it's like saying Lake Michigan is really big then tripping and falling into the Atlantic. Ward will swallow Green whole.
As a side note, Allan Green comes off as very arrogant. When I interviewed him I liked him, guess I still do, but he's opened the door to dislike. He kind of spoke down to me as if I knew nothing about the sport.
Oops

He'll win a competitive fight against Bute. Destroys Fraud. And loses a UD to Kessler
On a side note, Green annihilates the overrated Ward.

Bute can beat anyone, so long as he is allowed to bring his own referee.

I am with the consensus who think Allan Green gets a lot of publicity for doing nothing. How is he in all these talks with proven guys? His stardom rests on a Jaidon Codrington KO, who by the way is an average fighter. When he stepped up just one level he got beat rather nicely by Edison Miranda. I almost fell for the Allan Green hype but as I watched fight after fight and saw no improvement I seen an overrated journeyman who is a C+ fighter still getting hype for no significant victories. Please someone explain to the public what has Allan Green done to warrant even being in the same ring with top fighters? Please answer this. If he was undefeated and still learning the trade I wouldn't be so hard on him. But this guy really thinks he is elite. He has only a puncher's chance against the top competition. Top prospects like Ward and Dirrell would handily decision him also. He should try his hand at beating some up and comers and stop thinking he should just be given a title shot with a top fighter.

With a Froch vs Taylor fight unlikely and Frochs No.2 being a relative unknown called Murat- who I'm guessing Froch should beat with ease. Carl has 12 months before the next mandatory, so fighting the likes of Allan Green would be good to help him build on his win over Pascal and then hopefully get a Unification against someone like Bute or Kessler.
It is about time Green got back in the mix.
I think Green loses to all three.
As a sidenote Kessler's manager (Mogens Palle) revealed in Danish media today that they are also in talks with Glen Johnson. Apparently Johnson approached them, declaring his interest in a fight at a catchweight of 170.

Green looked great against Williams watch closely and you can actually see Williams adjust his right hand to make it easier for Green to land the jab.

Williams was still able to land some good counters, and this is Rubin Williams we're talking about here. I think Green gets schooled by Bute, Froch and Kessler.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
