Eubank and Naz both did the same and got paid. Both won many fights and won many title fights - Haye already was a 3 belt holder at Cruiserweight and he did that the Professional way - win the British title then beat the best in Europe.(No easy route)
Struggled at the weight but hung around for his shot and took it - in the champions backyard. (An Englishman is never the most welcomed of people in France) Then Unified and gave the UK fans a fight they wanted to see against Enzo Mac.

I think the most anti Haye are the Yanks but they always have been when its come to UK Heavyweights - so no surprises there but now it is laughable as there isn't a US Heavyweight in the World that is any good anymore - Kirk Johnson (or is it Kevin?) and 'fat' Chris are the best and they are practically novices.

Haye may fail - after all he'll be giving away weight and height in most fights but the man will go down trying and cause excitement - What will the US Heavy's be doing? Wheeling out Rahman again?, Locking Arreola's fridge? We already had the excitement of Calvin Brock and Tony Thompson ZZZzzz.. maybe Shannon Briggs - is he still fighting?

What has happened to US Heavyweight Boxing - it would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

You better hope Haye succeeds cos the division will go back to it's comatose state otherwise.
Don't know about that. In my book Lennox is an all time great.

Sure Haye has done well for himself...I don't think there is anyone out there trying to deny that...Those who do are looking at him strictly on his personality and overlooking everything else.....The fact that people do not believe he will beat Wlad has nothing to do with personality....Him acting like an ass all the time has nothing to do with where he is from...Yo9u use the word "Yanks" in almost a prejudice fashion......Guess what "Yanks" hate all arrogant cusse's no matter where they are from including here...

As for your comment on American heavyweights you say it in an almost mocking fashion...like you are on some competition show and there are teams...This is not the UK Vs USA contender fan show....but just to get a few things out of the way....

    1. You have 2 ranked Hwts from UK Haye and Skelton (How haye is ranked after 1 fight is beyond me it was against Barrett for gosh sakes)

    2. None of the champions are from the UK or USA....

    3. Since we like to be sarcastic about the state of hwts in boxing today..lets not forget it is just today where the hell were your hw greats throughout history?....Other then Lennox my #1 all time fighter as everyone knows (just shows that our fan base has nothing to do with where a fighter is from...but to be fair the "Brits did not want to claim him until he became great so what does that say about you guys?)....

    The last time I looked...

Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Liston, Patterson, Foreman, Ali, Tyson, Frazier, Holyfield, Bowe, Charles....

    All came from the US.....

To go further we out rank your fighters in the ATG catagory in every division....

Over the last 5-10 years the best fighters from your country have been Hatton...Who was embaressed by an American fighter, Naz who was embaressed by a Mexican fighter who was groomed for greatness in the states and Calzaghe who I am a fan of but seems awful convienient he failed to face any American top level fighter in their primes...Lacy was garbage before Calzage and I have said so before the fight he was garbage......

So you have 3 out of our 300....in terms of greatness....

Leave the word "Yanks" and your sarcastic comments about the quality of our fighters out ofn it because we have proven time and again in history books we put out the superior product.....

BTW boxings 2 ATG Ray Robinson and Hank Armstrong were "Yanks"

So giggle your ass off on that sadness......

And in no way my British friends is any of thAT MEANT AS AN INSULT TO ANY OF YOUR OR YOUR FIGHTERS JUST A REMINDER TO AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE WHO THINKS HE IS CUTE

Thanks for the history lesson that I didn't need - my post was about the current state of US Heavyweights.
At no point in my post did I claim or allude to UK Heavyweights having a Greater history than the US. So your flying off into a half-assed history lesson was pointless and stating the bleeding obvious.

My flippant style of writing was going along with the vein of the topic as started by Mr VD.
Whether Yanks hate arrogance in boxers is your opinion but not a statement of fact. I'm pretty sure some arrogant boxers have great PPV and viewing figures and countless fans.

Haye for your information has actually fought at Heavyweight 4 times yet you go on about 1 fight. Maybe you should pay closer attention to the here and now and Study Up sonny.

After years of the taunts from the US of Horizontal Heavyweights maybe after years of Greatness from Big Len and now the prospect of the talented Haye gatecrashing the Robots party, a Brit like me can celebrate and return the almost 100 years of taunts and hurts.

The last time you quoted me on Haye, Daxx it was to say he wouldn't win the Cruiserweight title - you got that wrong maybe you'll get lucky this time.

Spot on. I think the once great american HW's disapperance is a lot of the reason for their somewhat jealous sounding posts (I know not all americans are Haye bashing). But for the sake of boxing and the spectacle that a HW title fight used to bring us we need David to succeed. He's exciting and he has finally got people talking about the glamour division after years (Well actually since the last great british heavyweight).

And nobody can accuse me of being a Brit-hater. I've always been an advocate of Lewis's greatness and a big fan of Hatton.
Even if you hated British fighters, doesn't mean you hate Brits, just means you haven't found a fighter you're a fan of. Personally though, I believe Haye deserves a shot as much as anyone at Heavyweight. Considering the lack of quality, I'd say Cruiserweight domination qualifies you for a chance. Would people moan if it was a lower weightclass he had dominated and moved upto? And his big mouth and promotion will probably get him his shot. I honestly can't understand how people think Wlad will be invincible against him. He's champion by default right now, and sooner or later somebody will finish him. Haye can't beat Vitali though, not a chance.
I'm not even saying Haye doesn't deserve his shot. A unified champion from a lower weight class has the right, in my book, to get a title shot in pretty short order after moving. All credit to Haye for his CW accomplishments, and they do count in my book as considering him a quality fighter.

But...in many cases, the lower weight champion can't compete with the top people in the higher division, especially going from CW to HW where the size difference is so pronounced. Haye could have hung around CW for a few more years and created a legacy as one of the top CW's. There would have been some good fighters for him there, like Adamek, but as much money as he has made, he'll double his net worth with One big match against one of the Klitchkos. I don't blame him, but I'm not buying the hype. A year ago, half of this forum had anointed Amir Khan as the next great LW and expected he should be fighting the Diaz by now. Is there a person around now who would bet on Khan over Nate, Diaz, or even Kats? Never mind all the talk about Audley developing into anything.

Haye will get his paycheck and his ass handed to him soon enough. Enjoy it while it lasts, Haymaker fans.
I know Haye certainly isn't the second coming of Ali but I think he has what it takes to beat Wlad (a big punch) and Vitali is no spring chicken. I think he's going on 38. Look throughout history that is usually when the wheels have either come off or they have certainly started to. And with the way boxing politics is, after Haye dismantles Wlad and Vitali gets in the ring with him, the older klit will more than likely be 39 and Haye will be in his prime. Ali lost to the crappy Berbick aged 39 (although his parkinsons had clearly begun to show) so logic says a prime man could take an old man especially when he has the speed advantage and the power Haye carries!

Yeah because the fights against the tomatoe cans he fought priro actually count for something...

Bonin has a record so padded he could be a spokeman for StayFree

Same goes for Delany and Semishker has been KO'd in over 75% of his 20+ losses...are we to take that seriously...So there goes your big "SONNY" comeback....I forgot more on boxing then you ever knew...Wait make that ANY arrogant fighter.....Except an occassional high buy rate that is based more on who they fight rather then them themselves...

Jones never had one...nor did Hopkins......

Name the Arrogant American fighter with a high PPV buy.....PBF...NO!!!.....Oh wait thats right there is none.....

I am sorry when have we sent you guys taunts and hurts...

100 years worth....OMG you act like your people have been repressed by the communistic holds of boxing dictatorships....

You make yourself out to sound like a clown..

So what I thought Mormeck would beat him...So did a shit load of others....What did you do spend countless hours of going through my post?.....

Too much time on your hands
Earlier you criticized my style of posting then you imitate it - so whose the joker?

I said PPV and views - you chose to not recognize both. Did I say PBF was the highest? Nope but millions of Americans have watched his fights - Am I right? I'm not wrong.

Ever heard of Muhammad Ali? (he was formerly known as Cassius Clay) Now he was regarded as arrogant and millions watched his fights all around the World so my point stands and you have once again been schooled.

The fact you just checked Boxrec to see who Haye fought rather than actually having seen the fights is why you need to Study Up. I watched the man fight in the amateurs so have followed his career closely. Don't aimlessly bash fighters with your lack of insight and knowledge when you haven't studied Up.

The 100 years is too put into perspective your whining about a few Brits bigging up a Uk Heavy but that obviously went over your head.

As for you having forgotten more..... - please don't embarrass yourself with wack lines like that.

Time on my hands? nah just a better memory than you it would seem.

My flippant style of writing was going along with the vein of the topic as started by Mr VD.

No went to boxrec to check exactly how many times they were KO'd before facing Haye....

The whole 100 years thing is pitiful plain and simple......

As for following Haye since the Amateurs well I am glad for you because unless it is an American Amateur I can care less....BTW we have been kicking your ass in that for a 100 years as well

As for you being able to root for a HW after all the...what was it you said...Hurt?........Your HW has yet to win ANYTHING....Like counting your Lotto winnings without even playing...

PBF was an example no one ever said you mentioned him...

As for Ali.....(His formerly being known as thing was the most stupid thing you have posted so far).....It was also a time of racial tension in this country...It had to do with his dealings with the Nation of Islam etc that made him so disliked...His arrogance before winning the title from Liston was really thought little of and people just expected him to be banished after facing Liston....Oh Look 2 other AMERICAN heavyweights that caused you part of your 100 years of hurt....

Had nothing to do with pumping up your HW it was how you posted it....Making it almost as if it were some sort of resentment against the Americans....Now you are still getting pissed off because everything I said was true.....

So you need to resort to attempting to make comments on me saying "I forgot more about boxing then you ever knew" shows exactly how much of a piss fit you are throwing because you know I am right...

    In short...

How about David Haye beating a HW of worth regardless where they are from before you start jumping online claiming your right to wash his jock after the Klitschko fight....

    Anyone struggles against Vitali.
You know Michael Grant had the tools to be champion. So did Andrew Golata. Hell Fraudrey Harrison himself wasn't without tools. Having tools don't mean shiit. I don't think Haye has the heart, stamina or chin to be Heavyweight champion. Yeah maybe down the line I can see Haye picking up a vacant WBO or IBO title. But he'll never be the man at Heavyweight.

is it just me or does anyone else think that the wlad fight will be harder for david than vitali

seeing that the younger one has a better jab, uses his head more than his heart, the fact he is in his prime.

dont get me wrong i dont believe david has a chance against either of them but if you listen to what davids fans say that his speed will beat (his power at heavywieght isn't going to be enough to put wlad down) the brothers wouldn't you want to have the slower and 'ring rusty' brother. i just cant see how he's getting passed wlads jab enough to be doing enough damage.

I dont see Haye decisioning either of them, he has to stop them to win. He might be able to stop Wlad, he wont be able to stop Vitali unless he falls apart pretty quickly.

Wlad is still the most plausable win for Haye.

    Spot on.

Thats what I have been saying for ages when people on hear are slagging off Haye.

Not that long ago Audly Harrison was rightly getting slagged off for not fighting the best.
