Hey buddy retiring numbers is good AND you only retire the numbers worn by players who spent the majority of their great career in one place for example TED WILLIAMS and YAZ.
Anywho even the Celtics and Yankees haven't retired ALL the numbers.
Eventually they'll run out of numbers. Honor the MAN, not the number.
Bert Blyleven was good, but how many all star appearances did he make? 2. How many Cy Youngs did he win? 0. How many MVPs did he win? 0. And how is he better than Jack Morris? At least Morris has appeared in 5 ASGs.
Now I'm not saying leave him out, but I don't think he's a no brainer, either.
