I didn't want to start another thread of David Haye. So I'll start here. I have recently picked up The Ring magazine and David Haye is on the cover. After reading through and the writer clearly in love with David Haye comparing him to " the fastest hands and feet since Muhammed Ali" and physique wise Ali esique standing at 6'2 215 lbs. So I click over to you tube and check the Barrett fight out again. I couldn't believe how these writer's are saying this man is the next great heavyweight. First thing his hands are no were near as fast as Ali,he looked as if he were a plotter no bouncing on his toes or any of that. His combination's are very simple left hook, right hand. To me the biggest thing of all he has fought a very mediocre heavyweight in Barrett. I can not see how some people in this thread put Arreola down when he has fought the like's of very huge men who a very talented , Malcolm Tann,Travis Walker, Chazz Witherspoon (not huge but big) these guy's are no slouches. I would like to see Haye fight some of these guy's IMO he would be put to the test and fall short. Yes he has raw power but in the Cruiserweight division. The best thing to look at is Bob Foster. A dynamic puncher in the lightheavyweight division and when he stepped up to fight Frazier and Ali he couldn't hurt them at all.
Facts are facts Haye has been stopped by an older veteran,he has been down against Mormeck a DECENT puncher nothing great. As it looked when I seen it Haye looked like he was down in the Barrett fight. He did slip but the punch did land cleanly. That's another thing he got hit very easily in the cruiserweight's and in the Barrett fight. I would like to see him get hit by Wlad's right hand that flush and stand upright. He is the most overrated heavyweight as he has not fought anyone worth of note but yet is the best heavyweight in the division right now to British fans and The Ring magazine writer's. The most overhyped heavyweight of all time right next to Primo Carnera as of right now.
