andrew was one of my favorite, yea i remember the bowe fights. He did beat bowe up twice, but before he fought Bowe i though andrew could never be knocked down. Andrew looks like a rock.
You must of never seen his fight against the overweight Samson Po'uha, he knocked Andrew Golota senseless. And was on the verge of stopping him, until Andrew Golota bit his neck.

Andrew Golota is overrated he beat up on a very shot Riddick Bowe, who i thought would of stopped him in the 4th round of there 2nd fight. Had Andrew Golota not of hit im in his carrot and onions, about 6 times that round.

But Riddick Bowe also couldn't deal with good outside fighters, Tony Tubbs outboxed Riddick Bowe in his prime. Tyrell Biggs had him totally off his game with his flicking jab for about 4 rounds.

Andre Golota was a good skilled Heavyweight but nowhere near as good, as people make him out to be. And if he was "Special" like people claim with or without a good mental game, he easily should of atleast won a world title off fighters like John Ruiz, Chris Byrd. Andrew Golota lacks something for me, and its not just his mental game either.

Plus to someone who replied above no he didn't just quit against Mike Tyson, he quit because he was losing and was on the verge of being stopped. And Michael Grant knocked him senseless and would of stopped him, regardless if Andrew Golota would of quit or not.

I agree, Golota really kinda sucked and made a career off of looking good against Bowe.

well i'm not sayin that Golota is the greatest thing since Tyson or anything like that, but he did get screwed over agains both Byrd and Ruiz, he should have been WBA/IBF heavyweight champ, but on that same not, Brewster took him out in a round, and well should have been WBO/WBA/IBF champion

With the right shrink on his team, Golota would've gone a lot further in boxing.

When its all said and done, and defiantly for some of the wrong reasons....it was an exciting ride.It was as if he had a panic button affixed to his grey matter....when it got deep and adversity came calling,he retreated like a turtle hiding in his shell.Strong jab, nice power, hard chin, built like a tank....all for not and the he is the living testament to what is meant when people say "Boxing is 75% mental".He did not have it upstairs, period.

That being said,I thought he deserved the fight vs, John Ruiz.Fought very well.and played a part in getting that fat mouthed lunatic Norm Stone (?) something expelled from ringside LMAO,Priceless viewing that was.You could argue the call with Byrd as well Imo.Marion Wilson was jobbed in their rematch. That look in his eyes after Lewis bludgeoned him to the canvas was just amazing....." I see dead people"
