Ochoa is a hell of a good young keeper, and maybe in about 5 or 6 years he MIGHT be the best, but right now it has to be between Iker Casillas & Gigi Buffon. Although Casillas has had the better last year, it's got to be Buffon for me, his performances at club & international level (particularly the last World Cup) just edge him forward. I find it hard to think of him making mistakes.

On Ochoa, yes Mick those saves are very good, but you'll find Heurelho Gomes with similar saves & of a similar number whilst at PSV, and obviously those who have only seen him in the Premiership would find that ridiculous. Ochoa may be the best young keeper in the world right now, although Ustari is pretty special too.

The greatest of all time would be between one of Lev Yashin, Dino Zoff & Gordon Banks for me. Buffon & Casillas may join that list after their careers are over though.

I'd side with Iker... Of course I'm being biased.

Right on Jaz, I def. agree that Ochoas one of the brightest goalkeepers out there right now. What worries me is that America will not sell him to a Euro club. Which is where he should be playing IMO...
But who knows maybe it's meant for it to be this way for a reason.

All time is pretty damn! hard question... I wouldn't even know where to start.
Schmeicel, Chilavert and Khan... How do you even start that one.
Then you've got Zenga, Zubizarreta and Tafarel.
I'm cluless as where to start.

Start by removing Khan Chilevert Tafarel and Zubizaretta from your list

When I was a young budding goalkeeper I thought Rinat Dasaev was the nuts. If you were going to build a keeper he'd look something like Dasaev, minus the daft tache.

If Neville Southall hadnt come to the game so late, had been a little bit taller and a few pounds lighter we wouldnt need to debate this. Amzing shot stopper.

Pfaff for Belgium in the 80's was quality
I still put david James up there with any keeper in the world at present and he proved it on Sunday against us Yids

Billy the Fish was the best ever but for entertainment Rene Huigita was hard to top, not only did he have the infamous scorpian kick but he could score too

The second video should come with a warning as the commentator clearly has a massive orgasm from watching the goal

I was at the Colombia-England game that night, and Higuita doing that remains the best thing I've ever seen at a football match. The Colombians were so good to watch, even though it finished 0-0, it seemed like they didn't care about scoring, just playing fantastic football. I remember Valderrama & Rincon taking the piss out of about 4 England players just playing keepball between them, whilst the likes of Gary Neville & Jamie Redknapp hared after them helplessly that Colombia team of the 90s really was something special

You just know that the big gaff from James is coming at any moment. With the trually top quality keepers its a rare thing, with James its par for the course.

Not just saying it because i am a Toon fan, but Shay Given. That guy almost every game pulls of save after save of the highest class. He savs the club every single game, if played for a better team he would hardly ever concede a goal.

I'm quite glad Ochoa is currently still in Mexico as I think he needs to gain a bit more maturity there, although it does mean that a lot of people don't realize how good he is which is a shame. Oh & on young keepers, I forgot about Akinfeev, who I would say is currently better than Ochoa.

On your all-time list, it's a bit difficult to justify putting Chilavert & Zubizarreta in there, although I can see justification for Kahn & Taffarel. Generally though it's widely considered to be between Lev Yashin & Dino Zoff, find some videos of those guys if you can, they were amazing
