Team PAC has to know they wouldn't make as much money against anyone else including an unretired Mayweather. Even if Manny gets 70% against someone else it won't equal what he would make at 50% against Hatton.
That being said it's coming down to PAC doesn't want the fight, that's the only logical conclusion to make if he doesn't agree here.

I jokingly said last week - it looks like Pac is bottling it with these greedy money demands.

Looks like he really has bottled it. No joke.

So - who should they both fight if they won't fight each other?

I'm guessing JMM for Hatton and that really doesn't leave any "super fights" for PAC.

If they wont fight each other, Hatton should get Marquez, the person who gave Pacquiao his his last hardest fight and should have got the nod, hes a class name that will be as much recognised by the the general sports fan in the UK as Pacquiao.

People forget just how unknown Pacquiao is to everyone else other than Philipinos, boxing fans and mexicans

As for Manny, Hatton is a massive name and has a masive following, hes not gonna find a bigger match up any where, Hattons fans will make any match up big!!

manny needs to get back down to lightweight as the pressure will be too great for him not to face Hatton and goes to prove Roach knew that Oscar would just be dead at the weight.

In fact, dont be surprised to see Hatton try making a match with Barrera if he does beat Khan, that will be a massive advert for a Barrera match up, in the UK and hes still well known in the US as well.

Manny has shit out big time!

I think its a bit harsh calling Manny unknown. I'd say just as many people here in oz would have heard of Manny as of Hatton, particularly after the ODLH fight, and that is even after HAtton beat the biggest name in oz boxing.

I cant speak for the USA but i'd say Manny has a big following there too. Hatton benefits because ppl in Britain are more willing to pay money to watch their star sportsmen, they are good fans like that. Philipinos are less likely to ravel or buy PPV's i guess.

I think Manny is being foolish here, because there is no way he will get more than 50-50 against Mayweather whose people will just not let that happen, as well as the fact it would not generate the money the UK PPV's do for Hatton. 52-48 is a pretty good deal, it really is starting to look like Pacquiao is avoidin Hatton.

In terms of future opponents, for Pacquiao, there is Mayweather, but I doubt he will get more than 50-50 against him even if it did post bigger numbers in the US, whilst Marquez III is another option and one where he could get a bigger piece of the pie, but I can't see this being as lucrative as Hatton.

Hatton can fight any 'name' and he will do good numbers. I think one fight he could go for is Cotto at a catchweight of 144 or something, if Cotto doesn't go straight to Margarito after demolishing Jennings. This could also be fairly big money wise, and would probably do close to 1,000,000 buys in the UK. My cousin was working at SkySports for the Malignaggi fight, and their internal estimate on the night of PPV buys in the UK was somewhere between 500,000 & 600,000, so think about the money that could be made against a more renowned name like Cotto. Plus if Hatton did it in a stadium he can make a bundle off ticket sales.

Still hope that Manny sees sense and makes the fight.

Cotto is a very good one Nice one

I dont think Cotto will want any part of Tony again, not after boxing so well to just be out muscled, it would only happen again and I think Tony would just step it up earlier but yeah a Cotto Hatton fight would also be massive, as long as Cotto gets his win

According to Freddie Roach.. Pac will fight either Valero or Judah, both of which will earn him between $2-3m, should he refuse the Hatton deal.

That's interesting. How acurate is/was it? I'm pretty sure it was reported much lower than that even though Sky didn't release the actual number - they never do unless they are great.

May I beg to differ. I think it's a good move on Team Pacquiao's part because they he is in the drivers seat. Why should he settle? It may be a a bit of a gamble but lets see once Hatton meets another fighter with a good draw $1 million to $5 Million? but pales in comparison and Pacquiao meets another fighter but makes another $10 million. Hatton's team is messing out on at least $4M $6M if not $10M by not bowing to Pacquiao's demand.
