Pretty much confirms it.. and sheds some light on the next move for Ricky (JMM/Diaz, Mayweather or DLH).. whatever happens I just hope it isn't DLH.. in terms of 'going forward' for Hatton this fight would do nothing for his status.

Oscar is losing his grip on reality if he really wants to fight Ricky. I feel bad for him. He has to except that his days as the Golden Boy in the ring are over, as hard as it is to do. Especially if he wants him at 147. As for Hatton, if Pac wants to deprive the fans of a fight, id be happy to see Hatton fight the winner of JMM-Diaz.

Well, I don't care who gets what percentage, I just think that Manny fuked up on this one. Manny has the wrong people talking in his ear, and I bet those same people will continue to take advantage of Manny, and he'll end up penniless somewhere down the road.

Manny is probably going to have to fight three times, to get the money he would get in this one fight.

Yep that seems to have concreted the talks of it being pulled"DAMN!"What the hell is really going on here?Could it be true that Pacman got a deal fight with Mayweather(Which is stated in another thread on here). In a way im glad Hatton stuck to his guns though. It was a 50/50 deal for sure.Come on!!!

    I'm very dissappointed in Pacquiao.

He has just thrown away one of the biggest money fights out there for him.

I heard Hatton even suggested 55-45 for pac man but he still didn't budge.

I guess he'll have to settle for his 3M fights then.

its not hatton that suggested the 55-45, its pacman last offer and hatton don't even give in. i think pacman has all the rights to have bigger slice with this fight, he is famous all over the world and well hatton is famous too just in UK and very few in US . and i don't think pacman is greedy, he's just following the footstep of de la hoya . and that's what you call the P4P and the PPV King.

In terms of future opponents, for Pacquiao, there is Mayweather, but I doubt he will get more than 50-50 against him even if it did post bigger numbers in the US, whilst Marquez III is another option and one where he could get a bigger piece of the pie, but I can't see this being as lucrative as Hatton.

Hatton can fight any 'name' and he will do good numbers. I think one fight he could go for is Cotto at a catchweight of 144 or something, if Cotto doesn't go straight to Margarito after demolishing Jennings. This could also be fairly big money wise, and would probably do close to 1,000,000 buys in the UK. My cousin was working at SkySports for the Malignaggi fight, and their internal estimate on the night of PPV buys in the UK was somewhere between 500,000 & 600,000, so think about the money that could be made against a more renowned name like Cotto. Plus if Hatton did it in a stadium he can make a bundle off ticket sales.

Still hope that Manny sees sense and makes the fight.
That's interesting. How acurate is/was it? I'm pretty sure it was reported much lower than that even though Sky didn't release the actual number - they never do unless they are great.

Well my cuz was working on that broadcast of the fight, and in the gallery where they were doing it those are the numbers they were talking about & they usually pretty accurate with that stuff, although no doubt Sky were disappointed because that's almost 1 million less than the Hatton-Mayweather fight did. However, that's against a guy who was not really a name outside the boxing world, and if those are correct than it represents a bit under 1% of the UK's population buying the fight, if my maths are right which they probably ain't .

It would be so funny if who ever fights Pacquiao next ko's him.If the fight with Hatton doesnt happen then he goes and fights someone for $3million when he would of got $11million for Hatton just doesnt make sence it looks like he is avoiding Ricky.

I wonder how the relationship is with Freddie Roach after this boils down cause Manny wont pick up the fone to Roach.

If Manny doesn't sign the contract by the deadline he's clearly bottling fighting Hatton. How about that.

It seems 90 percent likely pacman gets tko or knocked out in his next fight, it will be by Valero if he choose to fight him...and Valero will be the star and fight hatton.

Nah. Valero is a great puncher no doubt, but I don't think he has the credentials to beat Pacman. Also even if he did beat Pac I couldn't see him going upto 140 to fight Hatton. He hasn't even fought at Lightweight yet so he doesn't know if he can carry his power to other divisions and moving up 2 divisions without his main advantage would be suicide!

People I think can beat Pac at their weight that ARE NOT Margarito or any WW for that...

    Nate Campbell
    Juan Diaz
    Ricky Hatton
    JMM with a 3rd try.

P.S. Pac has not ducked any1. I wouldn't blame him for not fighting Ricky right now. That fight is risky as hell, and he still has 2 divisions to clear out. (LW & JWW) Don't get me wrong, I want to see this fight more than anything!
