    Default I really can't understand Pacquiao's mentality

Right I may come for alot of heat for this, but I plain just don't understand why Manny is turning down a 52-48 revenue split for the Hatton fight. While people may think Pac is worth more, Arum himself said that Pac will receive and $11m guarantee, much more than Ricky will make and the revenue is on top. Considering the amount of revenue Hatton generates, I'd say that split is very fucking fair. Considering the fact that Roach said Valero was the alternative option for $3m, Pac is a fool. If his promotor thinks he's crazy, Roach thinks he's crazy, then surely Manny is wrong here. Now I hear he's said Mayeather is on the table. Does he think Floyd will allow him a larger share of the revenue? I highly doubt it. Honestly, I can't see how Manny can make more money elsewhere, and for fucks sake, who needs more than $11m plus a 52% share of the fucking revenue? They're both doing the same fucking job in the ring! Pac is already a millionaire. No wonder people turn their back on boxing when shit like this happens. It makes a mockery of the sport.

Not once have I ever said Floyd ducked people, nor have I stated that of Pac. I'm not of the opinion that Pac is scared, but I have not heard one quote from Pacquiao that justifies his decision. This appears to be about greed and nothing more.

I agree. It is mystifying. I don't see the logic. Even if Pac deserves a bigger purse, even if his arguments are right, this is his best option out there. What other fight can make him that much money?

Not you bro..people in general, first thing i thought of when the fight so called didn't go through. I just simply belive there is something about hatton that manny is just not so quick to try and tackle right now......................that or he's ducking him, jus playin.

The situation is different because Hatton is likely the easiest fight Pacman can make for that kind of money. You can't really claim he is ducking anyone because he went into his last fight a huge underdog. If ODLH didn't intimidate him, would Hatton?

A flight with PBF or Margarito would be riskier even if the pay were comparable.

I actually think Hatton would lose the fight too. I'm a massive Ricky fan till the end but I don't think he copes well with speed boxers and Pac has sufficient power and accuracy to trouble him. I'm a fan of Pac too. Just think shit like this is crazy. $11m guarantee with 52% of the revenue? Surely that should be enough.

Pacquiao is more than likely being played by his own legal crew and can't see it. What his people advise him is that they know how the game is played and to trust them but the truth is they don't have any real experience.

What is really going on a maneuvering by Pacquiao's people to get some of that future prize money by cutting out Arum and Roach.

The tell here is the fact that Arum and even Roach haven't been able to get a hold of Pacquiao. They are intentionally isolating him so they can influence Pacquiao's decision making.
We might see some rational when Pacquiao gets back from the Philippines.

Pacquiao is a trusting person and there are too many unscrupulous people willing to take advantage of that.

On the Buncy show he said that Pac was annoyed that he only got 30% in the ODH fight and now wants the lion share. Steve says the fight will happen and I believe him.

Are you sure it's 11million plus the revenue? Usually when you hear the word guarantee I would think it means 11 million or 52% of revenues, whichever is greater. So that if total revenues are in fact around $22 million, and teh split is 52-48, then the actual split will be about $11.5 to $10.5 million. Just asking.

I read the final offer was actually $13m guarantee with the 52/48 PPV split and Hatton's guarantee was only a 1/3 of that. (by F. Roach) I really think the details behind the guarantee were kept from Pacquiao or his attention was distracted from it.

From what I've read, the $11m is what Top Rank will pay him. Twas a quote from Arum on an article I read. The revenue is on top of this.
