I think he definately has some skills he turned down going to the Olympics in 2004 to go pro, because he felt the Olympic judging was becoming corrupt, he was considered by boxing analysts to be the American most likely to bring home a gold. As a pro he is currently 24-1-0 he has been inactive lately having problems with promoters. Gonzalez was supposed to get a shot at JCC Jr., but JCC Jr. opted to rematch Matt Vanda. His only loss was when he was just 21 years old against Jose Luis Zertuche (AKA Pavlik War). He's had quite a few telefutura cards and has looked really good, solid skills and decent power. I am interested to see how he handles Gutierrez, Richard won't give him a chance to set up his punches.
Thanks for the info mate. Would be good to see another good fighter in the 154-160 ranks as they arent overly strong at the moment. I'll keep an eye out for him now.
Cheers buddy, I'm hoping he'll be the first Arizonan to bring home a belt since Michael Carbajal.
