True. and these folks should realize the outcome most probably would have been the same even if the 'handwrapping' controversy isn't exposed. I don't think these plaster of paris shiit would have made him won tonight. Not at all. Does that make his punches more accurate? NO. Does that make his punches harder? Maybe. Probably. But I don't think it exaggerately increases the sting of his punches. Wtf.. I don't think that plaster is like 10x harder than his knuckles! Shane Mosley did turn back the clock and delivered an awesome performance. That's it.

Great point. From a boxing perspective results like this just show how styles make fights. Cotto beats Mosely. Magarito beats Cotto. So surely Magarito must beat Mosely ? I actually thought Mosely would win this fight, not by TKO, but by points. You put Magarito in with a top class boxer who will give him movement and angles and throw flurry of punches and he’ll lose. His much vaunted chin was nothing. He has no skills, what so ever. To think people actually thought he had a chance against Mayweather (lol)

Danny went on and on about Margarito and how Floyd was scared of him and he would destroy Floyd... as soon as Williams beat him he jumped right onto the cotto band wagon... would be too blatant to have jumped off it back onto the margarito band wagon again so he's going to make the most out of these allegations as he can

Doesn't take away the fact that Shane fought the fight that Cotto should have fought, I never thought Cotto would spend so much energy moving all around the ring, he didn't have to do that. Shane fought the perfect fight, Margo wasn't doing enough hand wraps or not.

But again, that doesn't make it a non story either.

I agree with this one. While I believe the other fighter mentions could beat him, I don't think they could beat him like Shane did. Shane has the chin, ability and power to do what no one else could. Let's see if he soften up Tony for future competition.

I agree. Didn't think for one second Shane could hurt Marg, but he did over and over. Puerto Rican fans have short memories if they start trashingMarg over wraps, one word - Tito.

I think the post has substance. The negative cultural comments are not cool ( i personally would start another thread apologizing for that), but I can understand a fanatics concern about something like illegal hand wraps being used against other fighters.

Utterly pointless. The commission will review an accusation like this with the caution, which is the only way to proceed in an orderly way.

True. I'm giving Margarito full credit for all his accomplishments unless he's somehow proven guilty. I don't think anything will come of it and the fights will move on. But I can understand fans being upset at the accusation and the findings in the article that was posted. The corners will need to keep a watchful eye on their opponents in the future and show up prepared. Boxing has always been a shady sport.

Fans are upset because they can not take a Cotto defeat. And when i say fans, I mean DAnny. He has 3 alts on here and is the only one winding up unnecessarily on here.

Cotto isn't the best welterweight out there. I can live with it. Some people can't.

All Im going to say,he had best pray those tests dont come back positive. Ive dealt with the California Commision,and they dont have much of a sense of humor about something like this. And while normally he could just let the license in Cali expire and get one in another state,the head of the the Association Of Boxing Commisions Region 1 Panella has even less of a sense of humor about this sort of thing.
If that comes back positive you probablly wont be seeing Tony for quite a while

Not having the plaster hand wraps did not make Margarito throw half the punches per round he usually does.

Props to Mosely and his team for a great gameplan. Forced Tony to fight going back, smothered him where he couldn't really get off.
