Lampley kept saying the same shit over and over and over about his hand wraps. No evidence. I find if funny that HBO boxing (which seems to think it is necessary to inject drama into everything) didn't show this "cast." Because nobody had cameras of any kind in the dressing room..... yeah right.
So what we have is Lampley (I guess beauty queens don't require hand wraps) unilaterally making accusations to an entire camp who doesn't speak english on broadcasted television. That my friends is a tragedy. Lampley is the true cheat.

Further, Margarito didn't fight with this alleged "cast." When something that was probably more mind games requiring Margarito to rewrap his hands 3 times puts a question mark over an entire career is really sad. It is sad to think boxing fans could be that naive or so fair-weather.

Finally, Mosely is no saint himself. Being the subject of a steroid invetigation, even if Margarito did use something illegal, it is not as if he was using it on someone who was above doing anything to get an edge on an opponent.

Totally agree Booze.Inflamatory rhetoric run amoke and the timing and sensationalized glee of Lampley would make Day time soap opera divas envious.Why must there always be much such shite talking and side bar plot points after a night of fights ??Lets stick to FACTS for a change!Shane fought his azz off lastnight and wrecked Margarito like no other for a great convincing victory.Thats what I'll remember.....for some time no doubt.All of this other crap is just that!!

Let's be honest here...we don't know if it is crap or not. I hope it is, and if so...goes away fast. Because ya know...I gained a lot of respect for Margo in his fight with Cotto. I'd hate to see it be this. I'd hate to see it be this for the black mark it'd leave on the sport I love and compete in.

But if it is true, I hope you guys will treat it as such and not sugar coat it, and admonish the behavior. And if it is proved otherwise...hope those slinging mud without proof will let it go.

It probably won't happen like that...but it certainly should.

I suppose what we need to hope for most, is a quick answer.

Geez Booze, you've been here long enough to know that Danny is a windup artist. Last night he was laughing as he was posting all this stuff, and he kept telling me that this will get some peoples panties in a bunch. And guess what, it obviously worked.

Now, regarding the wraps, yes I am a huge Cotto fan, but I also have made it clear that I am also a fan of Margarito's, I picked him to win this fight by late stoppage, and I gave him his props after he beat Cotto, however, if the commission finds that Margarito was trying to cheat, how can any of you say that us Cotto fans don't have the right to question him doing it for the Cotto fight. As well as any Cintron fan, etc, etc...

You say that there is no evidence, but there is, the boxing commission confiscated 2 pads, one from his wrap, and one from the room. Now I am hoping to God that they are just normal gauze pads, but, if they were obviously just normal pads, the commission wouldn't have seen fit to box them up and take them. I have to think that there was something there that made it seem fit for them to take them as evidence.

And it wasn't just Lampley talking about it, go to every boxing website, they are all reporting it.

Again, I hope to God that this is not true, it would put a big question mark on Tony's accomplishments, but if it is true, then Tony should be penalized accordingly.
