the answer is yes he is possibly the greatest fighter to ever come from america![]()
He's almost 60 and still can act like a boxer, so he must've been pretty good.
Sly could never box...maybe to the untrained eye that bobbing arm crossing thing he did looked like boxing but it was just his 'artistic' take on the way a boxer moved...

In his head Stallone thinks he can box
He never competed amateur or pro. So he was never really a boxer
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
not really, he looked pretty amateurish in his movies...
No defense, always out of position to throw a punch etc etc
Listen to Adam (which also happens to be my name btw)
And though he isn't really a good boxer, he does know his fair share about the sport and has done a lot of good for it.
Probably about as good as Russel Crowe.
i saw in countless documentaries about stallone that he had to learn to box for the rocky movies
Yea I heard Denzel Washington had to really learn to play Basketball in "he got game"'... Did you see how competitive his 1 on 1 match with Ray Allen was?? Why doesn't he just join the NBA...Originally Posted by R E L E N T L E S S

watch Rocky again..His record before he fought Apollo was 40wins with 20 losses....so when he stopped fighting he had around 50-55 wins with 22 losses.....
It feels good to be back home.
He sparred with carl weatherspoon but it was just them two, a choroegropher and the director... no boxing coach... Sly could throw a few punches but that was all... the foot work... head movement... guards... everything in it is wrong.Originally Posted by R E L E N T L E S S
the bottom line is Sly never fought amateur or pro....and he always looked off balance..but he did as much for boxing as anyone...he brought it back...it was fading with Ali and here comes ROCKY!Originally Posted by AdamGB
