I think people will jump on fighters now right after a loss so quick is because with the internet they can. It isn't like the old days when Cooney lost to Holmes and it took a few months before the letters started pouring into the Ring magazine as to why they thought he lost, just as an example. It took a while to realize that he didn't really have the balls to be a fighter. It took him two years to get back in the ring and then after two fights he disappeared again for a few only to get squashed by Mike Spinks, a blown up light heavyweight, and Foreman, a 40 something. I think people had to think more before they put their thoughts on paper, not like just jumping onto the internet immediately.
