Regarding Pac as a power puncher.... He has been a power puncher since he started boxing. you can ask ledwaba, lucero, mira, hussein, morales, barrera, marquez, etc.
Power puncher coupled with speed. Very lethal indeed.
Others would say that it's mostly the speed factor. Don't be deceived. Pac has both power and speed. Speed alone won't make Delahoya, Diaz, Morales, and Barrera surrender.
Hatton should not make the same mistake regarding Pac.IMO![]()

I personally don't think this is a good style matchup for Hatton. Hatton is not monstrous in size, 5'6", so he would be dealing with a quick little dude he may not be able to knockout. Pacquiao is bigger than what people may realize. He is about Hatton's size. About the same height and maybe 5 pounds lighter. I assume Hatton is stronger in the body as he has been up in weight longer but he will have to make this a rough and tumble fight. I am rooting for Hatton but he'll have no easy night.
No he's right that was about right 117-111 or 116-112, or maybe even 3 rounds difference. But no closer than that ODLH missed most of his shots, and was countered all night long.
The fight was reasonably close after 9 rounds, but after that Floyd Mayweather just dominated the fight, i can't see how anyone could have it really that close.
With all the rounds Floyd Mayweather won after the 9th round. and you can't honesly tell me that was the same version of ODLH that fought Floyd Mayweather.
First off that fight was at Jr Middleweight, ODLH fought at Welterweight against Manny Pacquiao. A weightclass he hasn't fought at in years, he was seriously weight drained and looked like a zombie in the ring.
Thats the worse version of ODLH i've personally ever seen, and no way was he in the top 10 of any rankings. On the performance that was just garbage.
Lastly Manny Pacquiao isn't a power puncher at the higher weightclasses. He is a very fast puncher which generates power, and he has good timing aswell as that shock factor to suprise opponents with fast quick shots.
That they don't see coming but i wouldn't call him a power puncher at the higher weightclasses. All his stoppage wins have been at the higher weightclasses have been a accumulation of punishment.
He had to hit David Diaz with everything but the kitchen sink for 9 rounds, to finally stop him Manny Pacquiao has good pop but not pure punching power at the higher weightclasses.
