It is a shame, because the fight would no doubt sell out a stadium, and if the fight were at a reasonable UK time, it would no doubt generate seriously HUGE UK PPV figures too. Then you factor in the US boxing fans who would likely make the effort of tuning in and add in the people watching on terrestrial tv the world over and you still have a massive event.
Doesnt neccessarily need to be in the states to do all that, and it would certainly mean more to the UK fans. But there you go. Boxing has its fingers in certain troughs.
