Margarito caught cheating?

Welp,I have to over simplify this one,Sort of answers itself.One was obvious and a proven fact.Tony has never been a one punch banger,all volume and physical pressure.Stronger than Cotto....and the latter is not a certainy and up to this point,boo-koo speculation and yet to be proven in stone.

I believe as of Tues both Margarito and trainer are under suspension pending official findings.

Innocent until proven guilty....indeed!!Though,lately....seems a bit turned around by some.Guilty until proven innocent.

That in itself is the saddest thing, in most peoples eyes he is already guilty and no matter what the findings are most will never see him in the same way, Tony's reputation is scarred forever and although now he has been cleared of any wrong doings in the Cotto fight, it will now carry an ansterik on it.

Those are the reason why I was calling to have Nazim Ricardson apologize to him and his trainer if he was found innocent, because this ruins his whole career and I still have a lingering feeling that this whole thing was done by Ricardson to throw Tony and his corner way off focus.

Whether because he was guilty or because he was worried about what the hell was going on, I think its safe to say that from the opening bell Tony was not focused on this fight, the commotion threw him off of his normal fight plan. I dont take anything away from Shane on an incredible performance but a focused Tony would have been a way more competitive fight.

I still think it is stupid for you to say that Nazim should apologize. He did NOTHING wrong and Margarito had something that he shouldnt have in his gloves anyways.

If Tony is guilty and was trying to cheat I am in full compliance of whatever ruling and punishment he gets, he deserves whatever he gets; BUT if he wasnt guilty and this was Richardson just playing games...I think this is too much, you dont do this to a fighter to get into his head.

I get your point, but you are not getting mine, Richardson is the only trainer who can spot this stuff? he pointed it out against Tito when he fought B-Hop also. What does he see that the other trainers dont? and miraculously they found nothing on Tito when he made the accusation last time.

I know his first complaint was about the way his fists were wrapped but he also made comments about how hard the wraps felt. Which brought on the rewrapping of his other hand, then at that point the whole wrap was taken in for evidence, I see alot of people saying that some part fell out or a clump of concrete just appeared. I have not read that I have read that the whole wrap was taken, so we really dont know anything.

But to reiterate my point, this could also have been a ploy to throw Tony off, if that was the case he should apologize for ruining his career...its the least the guy could do after fucking up his life pretty much.

Listen, we all know how shady boxing can be, we know there are bad decisions in the ring and in the courts just in general but this is a case where a fighter has been accused of what could be best described as "attempted assault with a deadly weapon".

This is how they should deal with the situation:
1. Margarito and his trainer are suspended until the end of the investigation/trial

2. The Commission should make it's findings public

3. An unaffiliated mediator should assess the case

4. The Commission should make their decision based on the assessment of the mediator.

If Margarito is allowed to box right now without any suspension at all a couple of things could happen....
#1 He could win a fight but the boxing fans would question it's legitimacy

#2 He could lose a fight and boxing fans would once again question the legitimacy of Margarito's entire career

#3 Margarito (if he did cheat) could try to cheat again and get caught

#4 Margarito (if he did cheat) could try to cheat again, succeed and end up permenantly injuring or killing another fighter.

So with that in mind it's of the utmost importance for Margarito and his trainer to sit out a while (which they would do anyway after a TKO loss like he suffered) and try and weather the storm of controversy until the Boxing Commission/unaffiliated mediator reaches an official judgement.

I do believe the legitamacy of Margaritos victorys,Cotto fight has already been deminished unfairly and on questionable grounds.It really would not matter to me what fighter was in this situation.....Heavyweight,strawweight,Champion or lifer.This is a mans livelihood,character and family career we are talking about.Possible criminalities facing him and reputation and achievments on the line for the history books in manys eyes but regardless,I think an indictment on entire career in unjustified.Facts are in dire need and as fans we must be prepared to respect them,fan or no fan,I make no excuses and play no apologist,I simply do not pretend that it is all so crystal clear at this point.Punishment,should it be found merited,should be swift and definative for Tony and Trainer....as should the resumption of Career without prejudice should he be cleared,but we know he is already stigmatized regardless?Rules need to be enforced,no single man is bigger than this sport...it means too much to us.Just to many if's,mights and unknowns for me right now bud.Lets just hope we can quickly get back to following the sport in the ring asap with this entire affair behind us.

Why would someone questions Mosely's trainer, he was looking out for his fighter and doing his job. I haven't seen anyone here say anything about Roach complaining about the way De La Hoya wrapped his hands, Oscar had to use a different size tape for the Manny fight, no one thinks that caused Oscar to lose.

For god's sake, the first time with Trinidad, it was actually Bouie Fisher who made a fuss about the wraps, Richardson only reported to Fisher that the wraps on his left hand had been done prior to him arriving, then Fisher went back & made them re-wrap because he looked at them and decided they weren't wrapped legally. Can we please stop using the fact that Richardson was in his camp as a way of saying it was him BOTH times, because it wasn't.

Some one in the gym where Tony was training in Los Angeles found out about the wraps and later pass this info down to camp Mosley. This is why Shane and Team Mosley were so confident going into this fight.

Shane even said it before the fight. "Some one is getting knocked out and it ain't going to be me."

But really Onix,he just tossed the match on available brush.To me,its more on the shoulders of us,the fans and alot of the media with its reporting,Very few checks & balances....no reprocussions for running with half truths and unconfirmed reporting,they really run rampant.Shite....I think when we allow our selves to,collectivley speaking,we do a better job at "keeping it real".Ultimatley,people will see Richardson for what he is,ecspecially 'if' Tony and camp are cleared.I smell lawsuits?As in Shanes case......the speculation has also taken away from Richardson good training job also.Hang in there.
