I'm goin to this fight so I'm hopin they have a good undercard & this is a good start.
Would like to see Ortiz given a title shot on the undercard although that probably won't happen, maybe they could get a deal with either Urango or Kotelnik![]()

Imo... Concepcion punch harder than Luevano. Luevano has questionable chin, but hes got skills, height, and reach advantage.
I'd say 50/50.

They did Luevano no favors last outing pairing him with very poor mans Naz Billy Dib.That was dreadful.I'd like a rematch with Santiago myself, nice scrap.I thought he was moving up??He needs to break through,no doubt Concepcion has skill to match pace,Luevano catching shots a bit more lately.

Freddie Roach will be the one in charge of Concepcion's corner... a big plus for the young Bernabe...

A page turner of a fight for both game fighters. I will surely would not miss it. Bernabe concepcion, in the past, came to fights with just instinctive skills.
He did not figure out early on, that this was not enough to get you to the next level.
I believe that in his last fight, he had somewhat of a breakthrough. Something finally reached his deeper understanding, and allowed him to get out of a real dangerous situation.
He reversed a possible loss in one single round, and it was the last round. He knocked the guy out!
He just suddenly unleashed powerful combinations, punches in bunches, slugged it out, and this despite nursing a serious gash.
In his fight with Luevano, whichever version shows up will dictate the winner.
If he shows up like of the old, Luevano will pepper him till the very last rounds. Luevano is so skilled a boxer, only knocking him out will prevent him from adding your name to his list of victims. He can even knock you out, if you allow him to give you enough of a battering, you will see the canvas later in the fight. Getting back... it will surely be a loss for sure for Concepcion. Could even suffer a knockout!
If he brings the new and determined version to face Steve Luevano, it will be a long night for the later!
Roach and Pacs influence, had something to do with Abe's transformation, we shall soon see if the transformation was for good!

Questionable chin?
He's been dropped by hard puchers only Terdsak & Santiago both strong fighters.
What does need to be said is his great ability to recover after knockdowns and comeback to win rounds. I believe the round in which Santiago dropped him he made a good comeback and could have evened out the round.
I would say Concepcion has more 1 punch power but Luevanos counter skills have decked 5 of his last 7 opponents. (Would have been 6 but the Dib knockdown ruled a slip)
Luevano needs to establish his jab, once he gets that going forget it. You just can't get past it. But he often forgets half way through fights about it and that's when he starts getting hit. He better be careful cause Concepcion will spark him out if given that opp.
But yeah, Luevano needs to be awake for the full fight and needs the jab all night long. I also feel Luevano needs to go to the body which he does exceptionally well he needs to hit the body here.
