pineapple cuts easier with a modern bread knife one with large serrations.
cut top off,then slice right through the thickness in 1/2 inch slabs,just cut as many as you wish to eat so the rest stays fresh.Turn the remainder face down ,cut down on a small plate and chuck in fridge.
You got a 1/2 inch thick circle with skin around it just hold it on edge and go around 1/4 inch in from the skin and take the outside circle away,lay the fruit flat and cut it into half,quarters then again so you got you got loads of triangles. eat them.
