Well you seem to be thinking it through and know what you issues are. So I suppose it is all about resolve. Yea, having your own cupboard is a good idea, if you use it properly. Sticking to planned healthy meals is a good idea, if you stick to it and don't cheat. So really, it is up to you and how badly you want it. We can build diet plans for you, offer suggestions, but it is of little consequence if you don't follow through.
So I suppose you need to get to the core of that, and make a decision. Coulda shoulda woulda gets you nothing. Ball is in your court, IMO.
One thing I will promise you, as I got rid of bad food also some time ago...is that once you have done it for a while, it gets much, much easier.
Good luck with it.
I struggle with my weight in a big way mate. I'm just under 6 foot and currently weigh about 220 Pounds, I used to weigh 316 pounds. There is no secret and Will Power alone will not work becuase it only has a limited time before your subconscious beats it down and convinces you to go back to your old ways. The only thing you can do (and let me know if you manage to achieve it) is to take a much longer approach and change your ways for ever. Don't diet, just eat the right things and exercise and you will slowly and a natural rate lose weight and get down to your bodies ideal weight.
i hear that youngblood and big h, thanks as always guys and ill keep you posted.
We'll have to start calling you Little H.
Why no give an example of what you used to eat/exercise and what you have now?
pavlikfan - motivation is a big key. Why do you want to loose weight? If you're not motivated nothing will work.
Whilst it's good to have a long term goal, beware that can be demotivating because if you've got a lot to lose it may feel you'll never get there. This may sound girly but if you're in to clothes buy yourself something decent for every 7lb you lose.
im wanting to lose weight as im hoping to start boxing this year and dont wanna look slobby compare to the other people training at the club partly, but mainly i just wanna shape up. ive done the clothes thing in reverse to be honest, i wanna get back into the clothes that used to fit me haha.
You have to be committed to it or nothing will work.
Keep a food log. Write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink every day, with no exceptions. I've found that if I keep detailed track of what I'm eating, if I go to eat something unhealthy, it's not worth it for me to write it down, so I just don't eat it.
Like YB said, plan out all your meals. Keep your own cupboard, fill it full of healthy food and stay out of the other cupboards! You'll have to be very diligent in the beginning but as you learn how to eat right, it will become much easier.
What's your diet and exercise like right now?
some right fat cunts on here arent there
I havent been in solid training for well over 2 years now, drink on a nightly basis and dont exactly eat the right foods and im only about 175
one dangerous horrible bloke
