Yep, Mayweather slamming Hatton to the ring post to knock him out is hard to beat but I think PAC will make Hatton's face a bloody mess and stop Hatton earlier than what PBF did...
    .
I agree completely. I really never thought much of Hatton until I watched the HBO specials for the countdown to the P.B.F. fight. He's a pretty humble,
ordinary guy, who's really accessible to his fans - something really uncommon in this day and age.
However, with this new 'trainer', an absolute simian, with the boxing I.Q. and general I.Q. of a retarded dog, I can't find out for the life of me what Hatton was thinking. Did the Mayweather K.O. do damage to Ricky's brain?
Unless Pac comes into this fight totally unprepared, I don't see Ricky making it past 5 rounds.

I remember I was out night before the fight (broadcasts over here at 4am obviously) and my mum's fella (who was out) had been sucked into the hype. Actually thought Hatton was going to knock him out. Bearing in mind his boxing knowledge is, lets say, limited, I corrected him and said Hatton was going to get knocked out. He refused to believe and even offered to bet me £50. I turned it down flat saying it really wasn't fair. He kept insisting, I kept turning it down until I got bored of him goading me into betting him so we shook on it.

Come 5am, Hatton is out in 2 and I am £50 richer. The look on his face was priceless. Didn't wanna take it but after all the noise he was making, it was only right I did. That's the only time I will ever get evens when betting on Pac Man.

not so sure mate... when that fight was announced i thought fuck me Hatton is taking the piss fighting this little guy.

Hatton was a great body puncher and that to me was/is Manny's biggest weakness.

it was a mismatch IMHO when announced.... then by the time of the build up i really saw this as a lot closer than i first thought, it was a pick em for me before the bell rang but thought Manny's speed was the key.

hindsight is a great thing.... just ask the EX Jeff Lacy fans

Well, I was expecting a prime hatton to show up.

Not an exhausted shadow of his former self.

I'm a big Hatton fan but I never fancied this. I had friends around for the fight, and I warned them Hatton would get murdered. I just didn't fancy he'd cope with an extremely fast southpaw. I said it'd be stopped within 5 rounds. Didn't think it would be as quick as it was though.

On May 2, 2009, do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on prime 30 year old Ricky Hatton?

Vote in the poll and discuss...
    .

    1. Barrera wasnt at his best in the 1st pac fight. His distractions were well publicised before the fight and this was confirmed when in 2007 a washed up old Barrera went 12 rounds with the new and improved Manny

    2. Pac didnt inflict the worst ever beating on JMM. Most people think Jmm won the fight . Marquez had been beaten by Norwood before that .

    3. Pac didnt inflict a beating on a prime Morales cuz Erik was far from his peak . Morales was coming off a loss everytime he met Pac . He had lost two of his last 3 infact pac was the only guy erik had beaten in a while.

As for oscar and Diaz I think its plain to see what happend here

As for the Hatton fight I think Hatton will put a bigger beating on a prime Pac than Torrencampo and Singursat did

Hatton is going to push Pac back and bust him up IMO.

I am not sure if that was the "worst beating of JMM" if it ended up in a questionable decision anyways. Pac didn't come out clean either.
    - In 2008, PAC inflicted the worst beating on prime 32 year old boxing champion, the durable David Diaz...
Primer or not, I am not sure if putting David Diaz in anyone's resume raises an eyebrow. David who?
    - In 2008, PAC inflicted the worst beating on not so prime 35 year old boxing legend and 6 division titliest Oscar Dela Hoya in 8 one sided rounds...
Finally a Pac fan says it well, a "not so prime". Still, just the name "ODLH" in anybody's resume looks pretty cool regardless of his status when they fought.

Sure, there's that possibility, why not.

Singursat, a guy that KOed Pac easily on round 3 who then faced Jorge Arce and got beaten TKO on round 1. Go figure. I guess styles do make fights. Also, Pac has been improving here and there.
But yeah, I sure hope so he gets beaten convincingly.
Marquez also put on a boxing clinic on Pac for a good amount of those rounds in their first fight. Pac had a sweet round but Marquez dominated most of that fight.
Pac did knockout Morales but Erik also controlled and outclassed Pac their first fight
All this coming from a Pac fan, cool.

I thought he would but with so much talk by some about how Manny can't/won't lose this fight, you can't be sure.

I thought Pavlik would handle Hopkins, Oscar would beat Manny & AM too much for Shane. Wrong on all 3 so who really knows?

from a fac fan but i think this fan didnt research the history of boxing before putting his comments.......when manny fought singsurat manny already lost before the start of round 1 because of wieght problem...thats what really 'dehydrated' is, not like the dela hoya youre talking about after the dream match...take note 'after the dream match' not before the dream match
