True, Kessler beats any of Floyds comp, the bigger, younger, unified and established champ and undefeated and highly regarded.
The only fighter who comes close on Floyds side is Coralles who was supposedly badly weight drained
He looks like he takes great care of his teeth, good dental plan.Mass respect indeed.
Well to tell you the truth alot this bad timing or maybe some would saying good timing because undfeated but Roy and Hopkins had no interest in fight Calzaghe back then and its not like they were fighting best either just hard to come to terms to get the fights not all Joe fault but at the same time he never got the wins that he need at the right time so thats the way it goes not everyone can have the competion Ray Leonard who beat greatest names in boxing because he was fighting in one of the greatest era in boxing some times it is all about what time you fought in.
haha sorry this thread is stupid, jeah lets make people stop discrediting joe by discrediting another fighter in pbf, that's just stupid. PBF is a great no doubt, and joe in my mind is a great too, extremely talented, and some people may slight him for not fighting in the us earlier but everybody's got their opinion.
The same Lacy that Taylor destroyed just as badly?
Kessler and Hopkins, Calzaghe obviously gets props for, but Hopkins was 43 regardless of he did against other opposition, and he arguably won the fight against Calzaghe, dropped him. Also Roy Jones Jr. who hasn't been dominant in a long time was able to be very competitive for 6 rounds until his eye was cut. People give Calzaghe WAY too much credit in that fight 90% of his punches where hitting Jones on the gloves, and almost every time Jones retaliated he landed cleanly. I am not saying Calzaghe isn't great, but he isn't as good as Mayweather or prime RJJ or Hopkins or Whitaker, he's right under their level which is amazing in itself considering they had the best trainers in the world teaching them how to fight, and they all went to the olympics except Hopkins. Who knows how good Calzaghe would have been had he been taught properly. His fighting instincts and competitiveness would have still been there, same with his stamina, but he would have hit as hard as anyone with proper technique, and he has great speed and reflexes.
