No I don't think Darchinyan/ Donaire 2 makes sense... at this time! Darchinyan/ Montiel is the better & bigger fight to make!!!
As VD has stated... if they keep winning then sure it will hopefully come to fruitition but Donaire 1st has to make it past Martinez & hopefully Darchinyan & Montiel can get together.
At the moment theres no reason to see Donaire ahead of Montiel because Donaire has done nothing at 115, whereas Darchinyan & Montiel have basically cleaned out the division between them so their fight makes the most sense, plus it will crown a true Ring champion at the weight! After that fight I would definitely be interested in seeing the rematch before Vic starts looking to higher weights...
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Since the time Donaire KO'ed Darchinyan cold, a Donaire-Darchinyan rematch fight always makes sense... There could be other sensible fights for each of them but their rematch always makes sense at any time... unless Donaire will say it doesn't make sense since the outcome will be the same, he will KO Darchinyan again...
We didn't claim Donaire is ahead of Darchinyan... Darchinyan made good progress beating named boxers after he got KO'ed cold by Donaire while Donaire was relatively inactive mainly due to managerial and promotional problems...
And you can't say Donaire has done nothing at 115 for he was the NABF super flyweight champ before he moved down to 112 to face Darchinyan...

You need to understand that if there is a bigger & better fight available then the rematch has to be put on the back burner. I don't want to see Darchinyan/ Donaire 2 right now, I would prefer to see Darchinyan/ Montiel because imo it is the better fight between the 2 best fighters in the division with the real championship on the line. So no imo the rematch does not make sense at this time! It would be nice to see but there are just some fights throughout history where I would have liked to have seen a rematch but it never happened for one reason or another. This may or may not be one of them, we'll have to wait & see. But to me the more important fight (Darchinyan/ Donaire) need to be made before a rematch... that makes sense to me!
Plus if you think Donaire has achieved anywhere near what Darchinyan & Montiel have at 115 then I seriously would have to question your boxing knowledge! Capaturing the ABCD what ever the hell don't mean sh*t against the achievments of Montiel & Darchinyan who together have basically cleaned it out & the only obvious fight at 115 to be made is Darchinyan/ Montiel. I'm sorry but a Donaire rematch at this time is like compairing platinum to tin compared to Darchinyan/ Montiel!!!
I second what VD said about Donaire potentially being a flash in the pan. There is a huge risk that Martinez is gonna hand him his ass & then it may be an uphill battle for exposure from there!

Yea they should go ahead and let Vic and Montiel fight eachother. Whoever wins gets knocked the fucked out by Nonito anyways. Hopefully after Nonito Ktfo Martinez the winner of Vic/Montiel is next for him.
Vic is obviously an easy fight for Nonito, even Gary shaw admitted he wont reward Nonito with a Vic match. That is like handing Nonito the 3 titlesVic got dominated every round and didn't even last 5 rounds. Somebody said Maldonaldo was weaken by Vic but howcome Maldonaldo lasted longer then vic against Nonito?

Forget Donaire-Darchinyan II. It aint gonna happen. Fat fukk Shaw won't give fans what they want because of a personal thing hes got against Donaire. Vic is officially Nonito's little whore FOREVER... I can live with that.
Now it's time to move on. We saw Donaire literaly knocked the bloody snot out of Darchinyan. Now I wanna see Rafa or Izzy knock Vic's head off.

Funny how 2 judges haad the fight 38-38. Yeah that shows Nonito won every round.
All u guys say Vic is ducking Nonito if he doesnt fight him again, well I guess that means that Pac ducked Singsurat after he got KTFO by him. Why didnt Manny push for the rematch?
Or is Donaire ducking Rosendo Sanchez cos he never rematched him? It is just a stupid theory really.
Has Hopkins ducked Jones for the whole later part of his career?
Did Kostya duck Vince Phillips?
Of course that is nonsense but it makes as much sense as all the Pacfans arguments, about Vic ducking Donaire! If a guy loses to another fighter but then goes on to beat better fighters, and has a much more succesful career then he wasnt ducking him he went in another direction.
I agree that Montiel-Darchi is the bigger fight since it's for all the belts and it will be considered a competitive fight and difficult to predict the outcome BUT saying Donaire-Darchi rematch doesn't make sense at this time is one I can't agree. The rematch always makes sense all the time or else as one poster here pointed out, Darchi will forever be known as Nonito's little bitch... We, Donaire supporters can live with that...
...................
Regarding your statement that "Donaire has done nothing at 115", this one also I can't agree... Donaire has done something at 115, he was the former NABF 115 champion!! For whatever it's worth, it's still an accomplishment for a boxer and it cannot be just considered as nothing... Of course Montiel and Darchi has done more at 115 compared to Nonito, they are the current regular world champs...

Your just contradicting yourself! If you say Darchinyan/ Montiel is the bigger fight then as a boxing fan would you want to see the bigger fight 1st? If you answer no then you might want to think about following another sport! The best fighting the best in the biggest fights is want I want to see!!! So logically Darchinyan/ Donaire 2 doesn't make sense at this time... after a Darchinyan/ Montiel fight sure... Donaire supporters can live with whatever they want if a rematch never happens... at the moment I see Darchinyans name on the P4P list not Donaires! Darchinyan has worked on his legacy since the KO loss, whereas Donaires may be going down the drain after the Martinez fight!
As for accomplishments at 115, winning an meaningless trinket does nothing to increase a case for a rematch before Darchinyan/ Montiel is made! But if your into following totally worthless belts I'm sure you'll be happy to hear Francis Botha had a similar worthless accomplishment winning a crap trinket recently!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
All I say is Donaire-Montiel, Donaire-Darchi, Montiel-Darchi are all sensible fights, just don't say Donaire-Darchi does not make sense...
Regarding accomplishments, it's clear Donaire made some at 115 and made tremendous accomplishment at 112 by trashing the once perceived indestructible force at 112 who is now widely known as Nonito's little whore...

i know VD but theres a reason why he did what he did. Same goes to guys like Guerrero or Ortiz jump ship from different promoter.. They need more exposure that they deserve.. Bottomline is Shaw did shitty things before. He can't focus on boxing due to his involvement with elitexc events at the same time when donaire and kirkland are trying to land big fights. We need to weigh both sides. Shaw got problems with other fighters before like winky and lacy.. the same problem that both kirkland and donaire is facing with Gary. I can't take away the only good thing that Shaw did to donaire by bringing him a title shot at darchi. but after that its nothing..

Fighters always have somebody in the ear. Sometimes somebodies. People telling them how great they are. And how they deserve this and that. And how there not getting what there worth. Filling a fighters head with nonsense. It's when the fighter starts to pay attention that things start to sour. Donaire started to pay attention right away. Donaire convinced himself he was a Super Star and started making moronic demands. He forgot what was done for him.
Shaw gave Donaire his title shot when had less than 20 career fights. A main event fight on ShowTime. 4 months later Donaire is back on ShowTime defending his title for the first time against Luis Maldonado. His fight was no suppose to be telivised. But Shaw convinced ShowTime to show it. I don't know about you. But back to back title fights on ShowTime in 4 months is pretty fukking good expourse. Shaw had big plans for Donaire. But nothing came about. Donaire insane demands killed everything. No fights were being made. Donaire blamed Shaw. What Donaire failed to realize was that eventhough he beat Darchinyan he was still unknown to everybody but Boxing junkies.
Now Donaire has left Shaw. Has his expourse gotten better? You tell me. His next fight is in the Philippines against a good opponent for chump change. To my knowledge that fight is not set to be telivised anywhere. Under Shaw Donaire-Martinez would be on ShowTime or HBO. And Donaire would be making a lot more money. To me Donaire has "flash in the pan" written all over him.
I don't think so... Donaire showed great boxing skills... He's tall and has the frame to go up even to the featherweight division... And his English is excellent which is an important criteria in the American market... Donaire is still young and definitely his time to completely shine will soon come in the near future...
