He does a little better, and that's all it will take. He lost pretty decidedly to Forrest and Wright in the first fights and made it much close the second time around.

To me the rematch is a tossup, even money fight.

OK Ill give him that. He did do better against Forrest,Wright, and Vargas in the rematches, Oscar he didnt but Oscar fought a great fight imo in the rematch. One of his best. As long as Mosleys age doesnt catch up with him...i feel like i say that all the time and then these old guy have a great performace, but it could happen. I agree that as of now its a tossup till we see what Cotto has.

Cotto has the skill to 'slightly' outbox Shane. I would bet on Cotto to do the same job again in another close fight regardless of the venue.

I think shane knocks Cotto out in a rematch. I think he'll be much more motivated, and after what he just did to Tony, and seeing what Tony did to Cotto, he KNOWS he can knock him out. He's got Naazim now too.

I think Shane has always been a little limited by his dad being his trainer. He gets him in shape, but not a good fight planner. Shane is equal to or better in all areas than Cotto. The last fight wasn't about Cotto's boxing ability being better, it was a better game plan.

Shane tried to brawl and Cotto boxed. I think the fight could have gone either way. I think now that Shane is spending more time with Bhop and his crew he is learning how to tip the scales in your favor, or avoid playing to your opponents strengths. New York is hometown advantage.

I think Shane will fight VERY different than the first fight. He will fight smart and he has all the tools to beat Cotto. I think Shane wins a very entertaining and close fight that goes the distance and sets up a trilogy.

Well said. I must have been watching a different fight than most people...because i had that fight AT LEAST a draw or even a slight win for Shane. Sure, Cotto was effectively using his jab. But Shane never went away...and Cotto was running for the last rounds against the older fighter. It will also come down to how Cotto will respond mentally after his defeat to Tony. Shane seems to have gained a second wind...but i need to see how Cotto responds after his last defeat. Should be a great fight!
