Khan v Barrera may become a title fight

I'm going to pray every night about this. IF it becomes a title fight, yes I'm a Barrera fan and want him to win but Christ on a bike, Khan has done nothing to deserve it. The man who beat him - where's he? The only positive thing to come from this is if he beats Barrera (please god no) then Khan gets to mix it with the big boys and knocked out in every meaningful fight that is left of his career.

There's even less chance of Khan fighting the big boys should he (FW) get hold of the WBO belt.

They'll get at least half-a-dozen defences as "world" champ out of it. Amongst the unknown no-name challengers there'll be a few Brit superfights with Alex Arthur (cert), Nicky Cook and Ricky Burns.

the one thing we have in our favour (& increases our chances of him being knocked out again) is his own amazing self confidence. He will believe he can beat them

The more we start ignoring sanctioning body belts, the better.

When Khan and Barrera step into the ring in March, there will only be one legit lightweight champ, and that's the winner of Marquez-Diaz, who will be the Ring/lineal champ.

This is an obvious one, Warren was always going to have that WBO belt ready once the fight was on. Also to whoever said Barrera wasn't fancied, check out the Barrera v Khan thread that I think Missy started, Barrera is almost a 3 to 1 favourite amongst posters on here.
