Not sure I understand the question. Do you mean know the athlete personally? Well, lets say that however you learned of the info, it is reliable and that you have the ability to break the case open. It's pretty hypothetical though, as you or I as an average person are unlikely to know what someone like LeBron James or Cal Ripken does behind closed doors. But OK, I don't mean you are a close friends, just that somehow you know. Unlikely that you would know? well, I suppose, but it's beside the point.

I remember asking myself this question back in 88, when Ben Johnson got pegged after thrashing Carl Lewis atthe Olympics. Would I tell. or would I stay quiet. Back then I would have stayed quiet. Now, I'm not sure.

A Big part of me does not want to see a dickwad like Carl Lewis with a smile on his face, no matter what. Another part of me dreads the flack that Canada is going to take from Americans.

Steroid (or other performance enhancing cheating like EPO or blood doping) has been endemic in American sports like NFL and baseball for years, I'm afraid. It is now nearly accepted that it's OK to do it and people are openly debating if they should be allowed.

I think that it is cheating and damaging to health. I lost all respect for people who get caught .... even 'Evan Fields' !!

Still, somebody, somewhere is doing genetic manipulation and getting away with it becausethe testers haven't devised a good way of finding out. It's an arms race!
