- In 2008 Hatton saw off the number 1 contender at 140pounds and the very man who had given the great miguel cotto one hell of a scare by destroying his man inside 11rounds to become the universally recognised 140pound king That Cotto fight was one-sided. Cotto ruined him

- On May 2nd 2009, do you think hatton will inflict the worst ever beating on little manny pacquiao and force all his slightly gay fanbase into withdrawal and possible suicide for those americans who just love to knock a good british fighter down? Both fanbases are fukking gay

I think a Hatton win depends a lot on the leniancy of the ref. This is not a dig at Hatton its just he has had his best results when the ref allows him to get away with certain things. E.g holding and punching low.

If the ref breaks up the clinches quickly, and allows Pac to fight on the outside a lot then Ricky is in trouble.

I don't think we will see Hatton using his punch and hold tactic, if the Malignaggi fight is anything to go off Mayweather Snr is taking him away from that style and is getting him back to boxing. I think this bout has too many variables to predict a winner.. I'm just so pissed off it's so far away, the suspension is killing me, and coming onto this forum to debate about it makes it worse.

As for MAB and EM, well, yeah, I could give a thumb up for those fights specially MAB 1. That is probably a fight I admire the most because he was a fill-in and still took care of MAB in a convincing fashion.

Pacquiao lost twice to marquez in many peoples eyes, has been beaten by nobodys back in the phillipines and erik morales who many feel had long peaked when he beat pacquiao.

Only occasion hatton has fallen short was against the p4p king of his generation.

If you seriously wanna kid yourselves into believing the de la hoya performance justifys pacs ability to take hattons best at 140 pounds your living in a dream world. de la hoya was done when he fought manny and shot at the weight just like when sturm rolled him over at 160.

Come may 2nd it`ll be a prime beefed up 150 pound ricky hatton against a blown up featherweight that has never taken a punch of hattons power and precision
