Gatti, Sturm (which almost backfired), and waiting 18 months before he fights. I see him as a picker.

Naseem Hamed can be looked upon as a cherry picker. When he decided to fight a live opponent (Barrera) he got spanked. And the only reason he chose that fight was because he felt that Barrera was spent after the war with Morales. All other fighters were either on the way out or C+ fighters at best Thoughts?

Barrera spent at 27 years old

Naz was trying to get a fight with Barrera as far back as when they were both at super bantem, im not saying Naz wasnt a cherry picker but to even suggest that Naz picked Barrera because he thought he was a spent force is laughable. The reason Barrera was picked is because most people thought he beat Morales in there first fight and was the biggest fight at featherweight.

You have a viable point. Not to many fighters are the same after the war that Morales vs Barrera I had. Thats why I think he chose Barrera because he probably thought that he was warn down and he might have an easy night. Also because at that time Marco was more of a brawler then boxer and that would play right into his hands.

Give naz a break man, he ain't no great but Barrera fought an amazing fight that night, it's not that Naz was 'found out' or 'overrated' he had issues with his style getting messed about with by Stewart but MAB fought an amazing fight. I also think MAB would have won to a younger Naz but not as easy.
