If Hatton fails to KO Pac in 3 rounds, then it'd be a long excruciating night for him.
When was the last time Pacquiao fought someone who wasnt shot?
JMM tied the first fight beign knocked down 3 times in one round
The second fight could be argued either way.
    Diaz is a nobody.
EVERYONE ELSE HE FOUGHT WAS SHOT.
Shot or not (MAB 1, EM 3, Diaz, DLH). Just think the way how Pac beat the shit out of them.

agreed. This fight is months away and I have no idea what kinda Hatton will show up.

Because they were shot, you even said it, Pac and his team even said it. Why do Pac fans blind themselves from that fact? As for MAB and EM, well, yeah, I could give a thumb up for those fights specially MAB 1. That is probably a fight I admire the most because he was a fill-in and still took care of MAB in a convincing fashion.
It's interesting how Pac fans consider Diaz and shot ODLH one of his greatest accomplishments over MAB and EM.

Hatton should take his payday and retire after this fight.
    Welcome aboard. And I agree.

I will just base this fight on their last 2 performances. I think Hatton do get a lot, and if Mallinaggi damaged his face in 1st round, Pac will inflict 10 times more.

The deteriorating Hatton will go down from accumulation from Pac's punches.
Ricky Hatton ain't no David "Stand still and hit me" Diaz or washed up Oscar De La Hoya. It's ok saying Pac is fast, but will he hit Hatton all night long ? No way, Hatton has a a good defense. Especially with Mayweather Sr working with him.

He's the best you can get. Hatton's footwork is underrated. Paulie Malignaggi was a slick, fast fighter, yet he crumbled due to Hatton's relentless pressure. If Pac or his fans think this will be easy, they are going to be in for a rude awakening. Pac hasn't fought at 140. Ricky has fought there his whole career. Ricky can box and brawl. His jab is a thing of beauty, he picked Malignaggi off with it all night long.

If anybodys getting "Destroyed" it certainly isn't Ricky Hatton. I can tell you that right now.
Sorry Lee but defense is not one of Rickys strong points have you seen his kite after his last few fights, Pac with his fast combinations and southpaw style will give ricky nightmares i feel.

PAC's wins over Hoya and Diaz are much much more impressive than Hatton's wins over Lazcano and Malignaggi... There's no comparison...

    ermm yes there is....

ODLH was shot at the weight and as for david diaz...........C`MON even amir khan would beat him!!

Pacquiao lost twice to marquez in many peoples eyes, has been beaten by nobodys back in the phillipines and erik morales who many feel had long peaked when he beat pacquiao.

Only occasion hatton has fallen short was against the p4p king of his generation.

If you seriously wanna kid yourselves into believing the de la hoya performance justifys pacs ability to take hattons best at 140 pounds your living in a dream world. de la hoya was done when he fought manny and shot at the weight just like when sturm rolled him over at 160.

Come may 2nd it`ll be a prime beefed up 150 pound ricky hatton against a blown up featherweight that has never taken a punch of hattons power and precision

    .

the malignaggi performance was second to none and probably his best distance fight since urango.

knock paulie all you like the guy can take a punch and despite not having any real power can out manouvere the best of them as we saw when he almost got the decision over cotto.

Hatton didnt lose a round all night and just bullied his man into submission ala what pacquiao did with a far inferior david diaz that you lot creamed yourselves over.

I love manny pacquiao and everything the guy represents is a credit to the sport and its diversity. Much like hatton he is one of those guys nobody wants to see get beat up.

I promise though come May 3rd we`ll all be on here chatting about how hatton was just a step to far for a world class 126/130 pounder that just pushed his luck a little too far trying to mix it at 140 with someone of hattons ability and power.

Many hates Hatton's "hug and punch" tactics, his rabbit punches, elbows and low blows... Many considered Hatton a dirty fighter...

Sorry but that's what I've seen and read about Hatton... Not really a much likeable guy... Maybe outside the ring but inside, Hatton pulls some dirty tricks...

    .

    who doesnt

Hatton fights the way he was brought up to box. Doesnt headbutt or use elbows as you claim and loves to give the fans an exciting contest hence the reason after 46 or so fights he hasnt had one boring performance.

If you wanna get technical i can quite easily refer to pacquiao TWICE getting favourable decisions over juan manuel marquez which had he not of got wouldnt be nowhere near a shot at hattons 140 pound title right now!

Yep, Hatton was brought up to "hug and punch", that's his style... Being labeled as a "hugger" is not really nice... It makes him on the same level of John "The Hugger" Ruiz... Huggers' fights were sometimes boring to watch... hug... punch... hug ... hug... hug... punch... hug... It's boring...

I can explain that in one word.

    'Southpaw'

Manny is not a dirty fighter, there have been plenty of times when Roach has told Manny to be mean and nasty "like fight dirty" but Manny does not listen to that. Manny is a gentleman inside and outside of the ring. Manny is nothing like his dirty brother. lol

Manny "The HeadButter" Pacquiao... doesn't sound right.

But Ricky "The Hugger" Hatton really fits nicely...
